The English actor Robert Pattinson is best known for his role in the Twilight movies. He has also appeared in the Harry Potter series, The Rover, and Life. Recently, he has been spotted with his good friend and fellow actor, Kristen Stewart, who plays his love interest in the Twilight series. Together, they are known as the “It” couple. Childhood And First Career
Pattinson was born on July 20, 1986, in London, England. He grew up in a small town in the Lake District and attended Leeds Beckett School of Art in the city. After graduating from art school, he started working as an assistant director and production manager for independent films. He also did some acting, appearing in short-lived TV series, including Hollyoaks and Silent Witness. In 2009, he made his on-screen debut in the British film, Four Lions and appeared in the following year’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Early Acting Career
Pattinson began his professional acting career at the age of 17. In 2007, he landed a role in the British television series, Shameless as a gay teenager named Oliver. The following year, he co-starred in the movie adaptation of Nick Hornby’s An American Story and had a supporting role in the film version of The Boy Next Door. In 2009, he portrayed Johnny Marr in the biopic I’m Not Gonna Dance, which focuses on the life of the English guitarist. That same year, he was featured in a prominent role in the acclaimed film adaptation of Diana Simpson’s A Royal Night Out. The following year, he appeared in the horror film, Vicious, which received generally negative reviews from critics. In 2011, he portrayed the young Laurence O’Toole in the historical drama The Last King and starred in the film adaptation of Deborah Harkness’s bestselling A Key To The City. In 2012, he began portraying Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies.
