With the upcoming release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in theaters this week, it’s the perfect time to take a look back at the actors who have played a part in the story so far!

Robert Pattinson

The British actor who plays Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga made his Hollywood debut in Water for Elephants, where he starred alongside Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon. In 2012, he was named the second best dressed male in the world by ELLE Magazine thanks to his impeccable choice of attire in the film. He followed this up with another hit movie that year in the form of The Great Gatsby, where he portrayed the titular character. Since then he’s appeared in such blockbusters as The Batman, Legend, and The Rover. In 2015, he received yet another award when he was named Best Emerging Actor at the Evening Standard Theater Awards. He’s also starred in countless award-winning short films and music videos, most recently collaborating with the artist behind the Jack Vibe track “Heartless” on a video shoot that was later shown at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Besides acting, he’s also founded a production company called Fights & Food where he’s involved in all aspects of the production process, including writing, directing, and acting in some of the films. Kristen Stewart

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was the first movie in the series to spotlight Kristen Stewart, who portrayed Bella Swan. After appearing in smaller roles in such films as Easy A and Mystery, Alaska, she became a global star when she took on the iconic role of Bella. Her portrayal of the naive yet passionate teenager who falls in love with Edward Cullen received critical acclaim and marked the beginning of a Hollywood career for the then-upcoming actress. She went on to star in acclaimed independent films like Clouds of Sils Maria, Blue Jay, and Cherrybomb before transitioning to big-budget movies such as The Hunger Games, Adventureland, and Clouds of Sils Maria. In 2019, she starred in the Woody Allen film Café Society and will next be seen in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels sequel where she plays one of the lead roles!

Taylor Lautner

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 saw the departure of Taylor Lautner, who played young vampire Jacob Black. Since then, he’s continued to appear in notable films such as The Magnificent Seven, Bad Boys for Life, and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. He also voiced Young Simba in The Lion King. In 2020, he starred in the horror movie The House of Gucci alongside Kate Winslet, Uma Thurmond, and Mathieu Laurent, and recently wrapped filming on an untitled drama from Peter Jackson that will be the third installment in his Lord of the Rings series. He’s also set to star in the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy What Makes You Beautiful alongside Kate Winslet and Toni Collette. Aside from acting, he’s also launched a career in singing and has released an EP called Songs for You, featuring covers of famous songs performed acoustically. Most recently, he recorded a duet with the British singer Ed Sheeran for his upcoming album Sheeran.

Eddie Redmayne

The newest addition to our list of iconic Twilight casting is none other than British actor Eddie Redmayne, who plays the role of supernatural creature The Draxion in the highly-anticipated installment The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The Draxion is a shapeshifter who can take on the form of anyone and has great mental control over their victims. He went on to star in such films as The Great Gatsby, Dark Phoenix, and The Laundress before being named One of Tomorrow’s Most Influential People in 2018. Since then, he’s starred in blockbusters like The New Mutants, Alien: Covenant, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. He also plays a significant role in the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die.

Olivia Williams

If you’re not familiar, Olivia Williams is the great-granddaughter of English movie legend William Powell and the late, great Ginger Rogers. As a child, she appeared in several television shows and commercials before going on to study acting at Harvard University. In 2019, she made her big-screen debut in The House of Gucci alongside her co-star, Taylor Lautner. Since then, she’s continued to work in features such as The Kidnapping of Greta McCool and All Is Well, and will next be seen in the upcoming Black Widow with Natasha Romanoff. Aside from acting, she’s also a talented singer-songwriter who has released a debut album titled In the Falling Dark.

Lauren Graham

Last but not least, we have British actress Lauren Graham, who portrays Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and Part 2. Her notable film credits include The Iron Lady, The Intern, and This Is England. Most recently, she starred alongside Jason Patric and Jon Hamm in the romantic comedy Perfect Match. Before transitioning to film, she worked for many years in theater, where she first started out before going on to become a full-time actress. In 2020, she stars in the upcoming comedy Little Girl Big City and was recently seen alongside Emma Stone and Elle Fanning in the hit teen comedy Summer 2022.
