Robert Pattinson is officially a father! The Twilight actor shares his first child with girlfriend, model, and actress, Anne Hathaway. The couple officially tied the knot this past April in a lavish ceremony at the French Embassy in London. They decided to keep the gender of their child as a surprise, but many celebrity baby bump watchers think it’s a little girl.]
The happy parents-to-be announced the birth of their daughter, Sunday Rose, on May 4th. The name was inspired by two things: one, it’s Rosa’s maternal great-grandmother’s name and two, it’s the name of one of Anne’s favorite bands, The Romantics. The band’s most famous song is “I Want to Tell You”, which Anne often sings to her daughter.
“I fell in love with her at first sight. She’s such an extraordinary woman, and I’m ecstatic that my daughter will have such a legendary mother,” Rob said in a statement. “We couldn’t choose a name that was already taken, but we both love The Romantics, and I thought the name was so beautiful.”
Anne added, “I’m so thrilled that Rob found such a wonderful woman who gets him as well as he gets me, and I’m confident that our daughter will be happy that she has such an amazing father.”
While there is no official confirmation that the couple’s son is named after Luke Skywalker’s nephew, it is highly possible that they could be. In addition to sharing a birthday with the famed Jedi, Kylo Ren, Rob is also the nephew of Michael Douglas, who starred as Luke in the 1982 film, “The Princess Bride.”
This isn’t the first time that the British model and the Scottish actor have collaborated on a project. They previously starred in the 2012 romantic comedy, “Twilight in London.” In that film, they played a couple trying to start a relationship while living in London for the Twilight movie series. They also share the same stylist, Emily, and Emily’s assistant, Hanna. In the movie, Anne wears a white dress and Rob sports a dark suit.
The beautiful bride wore a custom-made, blush-toned gown for the big day. She added a touch of color with a cream-colored flower crown that she wore throughout the ceremony and reception. Her hair was styled into a loose bun and she wore makeup artist Pat McGrath’s signature plum lipstick, “Ruby Woo’,” which she has worn ever since. In the movie, Anne wears a cream-colored gown that she accessorizes with a dark pink flower crown. She later on in the movie adds another touch of color with a light pink lipstick, “Sapphire Woo’.”
The wedding was held at the French embassy in London, which is considered one of the most prestigious venues in Europe. The historic building was the French Residence from 1841 to 1860 and then became a museum dedicated to the history of France. Most of the guests were French, including famous faces like Isabelle Huppert, Lea Seydoux and Louis-Do de La Noue.
The happy couple is already parents to two children. Their first child, Leonardo, was born in 2010. Their son Max, 5, was also there to help make the big day even more special. In the photo below, you can see that Rob is quite the doting father.
What Is Anne’s Fashion Style?
Anne has always been more of a fashion risk taker than a trend setter. She rarely follows the fashion rules and often expresses herself through unique and creative dressing that is both daring and trendy. This was beautifully showcased in a 2009 photo shoot for British Vogue. In one scene, she wears a gold metallic dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high boots. The gold color is echoed throughout the outfit and it’s quite the daring fashion choice for a woman her age. The 82-year-old mother of five looked radiant and flawless as she posed for the camera.
In general, Anne tends to wear daring outfits and outfits that make a statement. This was also the case with her wedding dress. When she walked down the aisle, she was wearing Christian Dior’s “Jungle Rose” gown, which she had purchased in 1968. The dress is a mix between a panther and a rose, and it immediately drew praise from guests and onlookers.
“I wanted something different and unique for my wedding dress, so I went for something bold and beautiful. I’m so happy with the way it turned out,” Anne said in a statement. “I wanted something that was sophisticated and yet also something that you’d never seen before.”
The designer’s son, Olivier, who is also the artistic director of Christian Dior’s London studio, said in a statement, “I think that when Christian Dior saw the Panthere drawn by Gailo Moroso, he knew exactly what he was looking for.”
The iconic French fashion house was so taken with the dress that they decided to use it in several of their advertising campaigns and even named a perfume after it, “Jungle Rose.”
Who Is Emily?
Emily is the best friend and dress stylist to Anne and Rob. She has worked with the couple for years and has known them since they were kids. She initially styled Rob for a 2007 Vanity Fair party and has since worked her magic on every one of Anne’s birthday parties and special events.
The stylist spoke highly of the couple and shared their excitement about welcoming a new member of the family. “I’m so happy for them,” said Emily. “They’ve been through a lot together, and to see them finally grow old enough to be parents is such a milestone. I’m very proud of them.”
What Is Hanna’s Fashion Style?
Hanna is Emily’s assistant and has worked with the team for the past six years. She has an affinity for all things fashion and style related and often helps with styling events. She also travels with Emily and has attended to everything from hair and makeup to accessories and shoes.
The assistant shared the excitement that Emily and Anne felt about becoming parents and the proud fashion statements that she made while styling the big day.
“I’m so proud of the way that everything turned out,” Hanna said. “I watched Emily and Anne walk down the aisle and I almost cried because it was such an emotional moment. Seeing them so happy was incredible.”
In the below photo, you can see that Hanna styled both ladies for the big day. On Anne’s left, you’ll see her wear a black and green floral print dress with matching hat and gloves. The dress is from Emilio Pucci and it’s very similar to a dress that the designer wore when he married famous Italian photographer, Anna Piaggi. On the right, you’ll see Emily dress in a white gown with a train and with a look that is both elegant and daring. Her dress is by Christian Dior and it features a deep plunging neckline and long, slender sleeves.
The gorgeous ladies looked absolutely stunning and effortlessly glamorous as they walked down the aisle at the end of the wedding party. When they reached the altar, they stopped and looked at each other, smiling in a way that only newlywed couples can. It was a very emotional moment. Even the guests were moved by the sweet union. As a wedding gift, the happy couple announced that they would name their first daughter after French fashion designer, Christophe Robin. The designer was so taken with the couple’s choice that he presented them with a lifetime supply of chocolate.
The ceremony and reception were both dedicated to celebrating Robin’s style. As a result, the guests were treated to a variety of nibbles, small bites and champagne cocktails as well as vintage French chocolat and brandy.
The model posed for Vogue magazine in 2019 and wore an A-line gown by Emilio Pucci. It featured a colorful flower-shaped print and it was designed to be both elegant and eye-catching. She accessorized with a gold and green diamond earrings and a matching necklace. You can see her looking absolutely stunning and comfortable in the below image.
