The ‘Twilight’ actor and the model wed in a private ceremony in France back in October 2018. As we already knew, the couple kept their wedding a secret for months to protect the sanctity of the moment. However, as the months went by and the couple became parents, they decided to share their happy news with the world.
The proud parents welcomed son James Robert Pattinson into the world on January 26, 2019. The first photos of the new family have been released by the couple’s agency and show the newborn sleeping in his parents’ arms. Robert and Emilie’s romance first sparked back in 2014 when they appeared together in a short movie titled ‘Westerly Winds’.
The actor started dating the model after his split from Kristen Stewart. The gorgeous couple kept their engagement a secret for months before making their grand entrance into the public eye in October 2018. They were last seen together in Paris in September 2019. Since then, they’ve been very private with their photos mostly shielded from the media. Walking Down the Aisle
The first official images of their romance date back to October 2014 when the ‘Twilight’ star was filming ‘Bel Ami’ in Paris. The couple were initially spotted holding hands as they made their way down the aisle during the wedding ceremony. Their attendance at the wedding sparked rumors that they were getting ready to tie the knot. But the truth was far from being confirmed. Even in October 2018, when they finally did wed, it was done privately and without any press or public sightings.
Emilie was previously married to French designer Axel Mackenzie from 2011 to 2014. The couple had one child together named Léa. Emilie and Axel’s marriage ended in a divorce after just two years. At the time, the designer was quoted as saying, “I want to keep my personal life separate from my work, which is a beautiful marriage. I want to keep my children’s respect for both of us.”
Romantic Weekend In Paris
In the meantime, back in Paris in late 2014, Robert invited Emilie to join him for a romantic holiday. Only this time it was a bit more comfortable for the photographer. It looked as though they’d been dating for some time and were quite used to each other. The engagement ring was a classic solitaire set in platinum and filled with diamonds. It was such a romantic gesture and it seemed as though their love was going to be officially blessed. But that wasn’t going to happen. A few months later, in September 2015, Robert and Emilie called off their engagement. They both issued an apology and said that they still loved each other very much.
