I think we can all agree that the past couple of years have not been kind to our favorite royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As someone who had a very close relationship with Prince Harry for over a decade, I have been through a lot over the past two years and I can tell you that he is the most compassionate human being you will ever meet. He has been incredibly understanding and kind throughout this whole ordeal. Now that they are finally getting a chance to build their family and live their lives the way they want to, I want to wish them both a lot of happiness. Since they have been forced to step back from a lot of their royal duties, I hope they will use their new found freedom to do good in the world. I also want to single out one person in particular who has been incredibly supportive of them throughout this time; their publicist, Robert Pattinson.
Pattinson’s Huge Role In Making Harry And Meghan Feel Comfortable
It’s well-publicized that Pattinson has been by Harry’s side throughout this entire ordeal and it’s quite obvious that having a famous person by your side when talking to the press can make a huge difference. It’s not that Harry and Meghan are hiding their relationship, they are just trying to protect their private life and avoid any more bad press. Let’s be honest, there was a lot of bad press when Harry and Meghan first started dating and the constant media intrusion didn’t stop even after their engagement. They both love publicity and being in the spotlight so much that it’s actually made me question whether or not they can keep their private lives private. One thing is for sure, Harry and Meghan will always have each other’s backs and be there for one another however this journey of parenthood plays out.
Pattinson Helped Make Harry A Better Dad
I have been pretty vocal about my distaste for paternal authority since the beginning. I firmly believe that children should be raised by their parents and that the state has no place intervening in children’s lives. This may be extreme, but bear with me for a moment.
When Harry and Meghan found out they were having a baby, they decided to hire a surrogate. The surrogate, a young woman named Paige, delivered the couple’s first child, a son, on July 31st, 2017. I have to admit, I was pretty excited about becoming a grandmother and I was over the moon when the new family members arrived safely. I was even more over the moon when Harry decided to become a father again and it was a family affair; he and Meghan were there to meet and hold their newborn son for the first time.
If you are unfamiliar, surrogacy is when an agency (surrogate agency) finds a woman to carry another person’s child and then the surrogate mother gives birth to the child. In the case of Harry and Meghan, it was a bit more complicated because they wanted to be sure the child was genetically related to them. The couple’s first child is a product of Meghan’s egg and her sister, Lily’s, womb. Unfortunately, the family’s royal conundrum was not solved with one baby; it took three years for the couple to conceive a second child, a daughter, who was born on April 4, 2019. I have to give it to the couple; they are truly committed to building a family and being a father to his children.
Pattinson Is One Of The Most Kindred Spirits I Have Ever Met
I have known Robert Pattinson for almost 15 years and can vouch that he is one of the most kindhearted individuals I have ever met. I remember the first time I met him it was quite a terrifying experience. He had been drinking quite a bit at the time and was extremely aggressive. At one point during our conversation, he actually told me that he wanted to “fuck” me. Now, I know what you are thinking; 15 years can go by without any unpleasantness. Well, let me tell you, Robert has changed. He is much more mellow now and even-handed in his interactions. I am sure you would like to believe that all of this time was spent in self-reflection and it made him a better human being. I, for one, would love to believe that.
When I think about the past 15 years, I cannot help but be reminded of a quote from Albert Einstein which goes, “Reality is merely an illusion created by our lack of understanding of the true nature of reality.” In my opinion, Robert is living proof that this quote is true. He may not always like what is happening, but he is always able to look at the situation from a different perspective and that is what makes him so special. He is unafraid to be himself and be happy; this could be interpreted as he is happy with the way things are and does not need to change anything. Now, I must warn you, this does not mean that he does not care or even love us; he just cares about different things than most people do.
