Happy New Year! It’s time to make some (probably many) New Year’s resolutions, and celebrities are no exception. We take a look at what some of the rich and famous have planned for the new year and whether or not you should join the club.

Robert Pattinson’s New Year’s Resolution

Walking the red carpet at the 2017 Academy Awards was one of our favourite things from the night. For those of you who may not know, the actor and musician, Robert Pattinson, scooped four Oscars, including Best Actor for his role as Edward Cullen in Oscar winner Beauty and the Beast. Not bad for his first time on the big screen!

After his performance at the Oscars, Robert Pattinson took time out of his extremely busy schedule to chat to CNBC about his future goals and resolutions for the new year. Amongst his top priorities is to live a healthier and more balanced life. He plans to make this his “resolve” for the year and stated that he wants to “eat well and be more active”. We couldn’t agree more!

According to the actor, he decided to put these two elements at the heart of his year after struggling with his weight for most of his adult life. After filming a music video with Ariana Grande in January, he dropped some serious weight and is looking to continue this healthy trend. In fact, the actor recently shared that he’s been working out four times a week and is planning on entering a fitness competition next year. We can’t wait to see his results!

Should You Resolve to Live a Healthy Life?

So you’ve decided to resolve to live a healthier life in 2018. That’s fantastic! Making healthy choices easier will undoubtedly make a massive difference to your life. It’s never easy deciding to change the way you live, but once you’ve decided, it’s a whole different ballgame. We’re happy to hear you’ve decided to bring a new attitude to your eating habits and active lifestyle, and we’re sure that you’ll succeed.

One of the biggest obstacles to leading a healthy life is undoubtedly laziness. After all, everyone has 24 hours a day, so it’s easy to put off exercise until tomorrow or the day after. But as someone who’s been there, done that, and regretted it, I can honestly say that it’s best to do things now. Tomorrow may never come, and today is too precious to waste.

When it comes to health, some people believe that there’s no point in being vague – they’ll definitely know if they’re eating too much sugar or not getting enough fruits and vegetables. They may also know if they’re being over or under active. So if you’re looking for a way to bring some structure to your new year and ensure you hit your targets, then I would recommend setting some deadlines and having proper goals.

Ultimately, deciding to change your life for the better is a fantastic decision, and we’re sure that you’ll look back on 2018 with great pride. There’s no reason not to begin your journey to living a healthier life in the New Year – it’s better to do it now while you still have the motivation than to put it off until after the year has ended.
