2. His father was an alcoholic.

Robert Pattinson was born in London on May 10, 1986. His father, David, is a painter and DJ, and his mother, Trudie, is a photographer. Their parents’ relationship was volatile, and when Robert was only four years old, his father left the family. Robert grew up with his mother and his older brother Luke in a small house in Belgravia. Although his parents tried their best to be there for Robert, especially after his father left, they both had their own careers and couldn’t always make it to his gigs. His mother has famously said, “I had to fight to keep him off social media—he was addicted to his phone before it was fashionable.”

3. He is a trained chef.

I’m sure there are times when I appear weak, but I hope that comes from my reluctance to speak about my experience as a kid. I didn’t feel I could talk to anyone about it then, and I still don’t feel comfortable talking to people about it now.” He has since spoken about how therapy has helped him to understand his emotions and how he can express himself better.
