Rob Pattinson is a British fashion and style icon. The 28-year-old founder of luxury label Pattinson Bowes London took the world by storm in 2018 with his gorgeous physique, plunging necklines, and impeccable tailoring.

“It’s not often you get to work with a classic figure such as Roger Federer and find something so unique and customised that he wants to keep it for himself,” Pattinson tells British Vogue of the tennis star’s custom-made shirts.

Pattinson has since been hired to create custom-made shirts for A-listers including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, and Justin Timberlake.

The designer has also worked on costumes for the movie musical Beauty and the Beast, which were worn by Emma Watson and co-stars.

Pattinson’s stunning one-of-a-kind creations aren’t just limited to shirts. He has also designed dresses, along with his business partner and creative collaborator James Bowes, for international fashion houses Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

The business duo have created bespoke pieces for leading fashion houses including Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, and Diesel.

Ahead of the 2020 season, Pattinson has some exciting projects in the pipeline, including a tie-waist dress for LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and a full-length ball gown for Naomi Campbell.

Creating Unique Designs For International Clients

Pattinson has managed to take the fashion world by storm as a self-made designer, but it wasn’t always smooth sailing. The designer went from zero to hero in record time, but was later forced to close down his successful label due to overexposure. However, the setbacks only served to make him stronger.

Shortly after the close of his self-named label, Pattinson opened a boutique in London’s Harrods department store, followed by a pop-up shop in Tokyo and a Milanese store. In 2021, he will be expanding into Australia and New Zealand, eventually setting up his own brand-within-a-brands in each country.

One of the biggest challenges for any luxury brand is presenting quality pieces at a competitive price. Pattinson has mastered the art of creating unique one-of-a-kind designs for international clients, making his name synonymous with exclusivity.

“I want to be known for my uniqueness and my innovation, and a lot of what I do is one-of-a-kind. My designs might not be commercially viable, which is part of the appeal. People can have their own individual piece of art that might only exist in their home,” he says, adding that he takes great pride in his work.

The Designer’s Upcoming Projects

As a designer, Pattinson is always looking for new ways to innovate and stand out from the crowd. He has already made significant strides in creating unique, luxurious designs, and now has his eyes set on the future.

“I’m always looking for new challenges and new markets to work in. I’m currently working with [businessman] Mohamed Al-Fayed [of Al-Fayed Ltd] on a collection that will be based around his family’s heritage,” he reveals.

“I’ve always been inspired by the great designers of the 20th century and I want to bring that luxury feel into the 21st century by collaborating with some of the greatest names in fashion. It’s going to be a collection that will be talked about for years to come,” he continues.

Pattinson is also keeping busy with his design firm, collaborating with some of the biggest names in fashion on pieces that will be unique and luxurious.

Pattinson’s Favorite Designers

Pattinson holds a special place in his heart for British designer Jimmy Choo. The designer had the pleasure of working with the famous shoemaker on a collection for his 2021 spring/summer wardrobe. The result was one of the most highly anticipated designer partnerships of the 21st century.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Jimmy Choo for as long as I can remember and I’m so grateful to have been asked to collaborate. My whole collection is dedicated to the great British designer and it’s an honour to be working with him. We’ve kept everything that was unique about the original piece and made it even more luxurious. If you’re a fan of Jimmy Choo, you’ll want to own this piece. It’s going to be a fantastic collection,” he enthuses.

Another luxury favourite of Pattinson’s is Marc Jacobs. The designer collaborated with the fashion legend on a capsule collection for spring/summer 2021. The result is a stunning piece that will be worn by millions of women around the world.

“I really admire what Marc Jacobs has done with handbags over the years and I’ve always wanted to do something similar with a dress so I worked with him to create a full collection of luxury goods including handbags, sunglasses, and a stunning gown,” he gushes.

Pattinson is also a big fan of Marc Bolano, the Spanish novelist who specialized in 20th century literature. He worked with the renowned French fashion house Louis Vuitton on a collection of luxury bags inspired by the work of the award-winning Spanish author.
