It was just over a year ago when Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson fell in love. The actress debuted her first major feature film, the critically acclaimed indie comedy, Margin Call, and showed the world just how effortlessly gorgeous she was in comparison to her usual on-screen counterparts. The couple dated for a couple of months before announcing their engagement and wedding plans in December 2014.
The 31-year-old actress officially ended her five-year relationship with director Rupert Sanders in March 2015 and since then, she’s been focusing on her career and family. She gave birth to a baby boy, Flynn, in June 2015 and recently wrapped up a shoot for the upcoming Suicide Squad film as well as the revival of Riverdale. Most recently, Stewart was featured on the cover of the New York Times as a result of her role in the upcoming horror film Suspiria. The movie is based on the Italian giallo novel and will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.
Rob Pattinson’s Career Revival
Meanwhile, Pattinson has enjoyed a career renaissance since getting engaged to Stewart. The 31-year-old actor was largely absent from Hollywood for the majority of the last five years, due to his busy filming schedule as a part of the Twilight franchise. But since the beginning of 2015, he’s completed a trilogy of films that are destined to make him a household name: Valentine’s Day, Cafe Concierge and The Rover. Aside from starring in blockbusters such as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Dark Knight Rises, he’s also lined up several indies, including Band Aid, The Lost Lovemakers and The Flood. He also has an upcoming collaboration with singer/songwriter Pharrell Williams on a song for the upcoming animated musical adaptation of Snow White.
Pattinson’s cinematic evolution has been nothing short of incredible and it’s resulted in him becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought-after and highest-paid actors. In 2015, he was ranked #3 on Forbes’ list of the world’s top-earning actors, earning a staggering $60 million, followed by Will Smith (#2) and Tom Cruise (#1).
