Redbubble is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell creative products. It was founded by the same people who created Teespring and Blank Label, and CEO Michael Heinz described the company as “a creative product-focused e-commerce platform designed to empower consumers to express their individuality through unique products that they envision, purchase and cherish.”

If you’re a fan of fashion and design, or just want to be able to purchase unique items from creators you admire, you can sign up for a Redbubble account today.

The Basics

Redbubble is a bit more complicated than most other online marketplaces because not only do you have to set up an account, but you also have to select what products you want to purchase. When you first log in, you’ll see a page like this:

As you can guess, this is the home page of Redbubble. On this page, you’ll find a variety of content spanning from product recommendations to blog articles to inspirational speeches. You can easily navigate your way around the site using the menu at the top, which reveals all the content. If you click on any of the product cards, you’ll be taken to a screen showing the product details and the options to choose from.

To get started, click on the Sign Up button at the top right corner of the screen. You’ll then be taken to the sign up form, where you have to enter your email address and choose a password. Make sure to choose a strong password that contains at least one number and one uppercase letter.

After you’ve signed up, you’ll be taken to a page with a little intro video from CEO Michael Heinz, who talks about the power of Redbubble.

Pro-Tip: Create a Redbubble Account For Robert Pattinson

If you’re a huge fan of actor/philanthropist Robert Pattinson, whose legal name is Bernard Weiss, and you use the name Bernard when you register for a Redbubble account, you’ll be able to access special features tailored for the most famous British man in Hollywood. In the Dashboard, you’ll see a button that says, “Enable this feature for Bernard Weiss.” When you click that button, you’ll be presented with five options. The first option is that you can disable the feature, which is useful for those who don’t want to be bothered with the extra options. The other four options are to opt-in for special gifts, offers, and notifications for your account.

To get a special gift, click on the Donate button at the top of the dashboard. As you might expect, you’ll be presented with a list of charitable causes to which you can donate. You can choose to contribute to one of these charities or go the extra mile and support a creative innovator who shares your interests.

One of the most exciting features on Redbubble is the ability to follow creators you admire. Click on the Follow button at the top of the dashboard to set up a profile for yourself. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be presented with a list of creators you can follow. You can choose to follow as many or as few of them as you want.

As you might guess, there’s a lot more you can do on Redbubble. For the full list of features, along with detailed instructions, take a look at the User Guide.

Why Should You Create a Redbubble Account?

Even if you don’t have a creative product to sell, you can benefit from creating a Redbubble account. When you register for a free account, you’ll gain access to exclusive offers tailored for creative professionals. Some of these products are showcased on the homepage, but you can find many more in the marketplace, where you can buy and sell products created by indie designers and creative individuals. You can also follow creators you admire, gain access to their blogs, and see their creative process as it develops.

Additionally, if you’re a fan of Robert Pattinson, you can use the special features in your account. When you donate to a cause, you’ll be presented with a badge that will feature the faces of famous people you’ve supported. You can also follow the philanthropist you support and see his or her face on a pink bicycle frame that will be put into action whenever you make a purchase.

Marketplace

The marketplace on Redbubble is where you can buy and sell creative products. When you log in for the first time, you’ll see a screen like this:

As you can see, we’re now in a special section of the marketplace called the Trending Section. This is where you’ll find products that are currently trending in the marketplace. If you click on any of these product cards, you’ll be taken to a screen showing the product details and the options to choose from:

Not all products are created equal, and while some are really good, others are just bizarre. This is why it’s important to be discerning about the products you choose in the marketplace. As you might expect, you’ll find many fashion products here, as there’s a lot of demand for luxury goods among people who love creativity.

Sell Your Own Product

If you’re not familiar, Etsy is where you can find handmade items, such as clothing, accessories, and more. While Etsy is great for finding one-of-a-kind gifts and unique clothing items, you can use Redbubble to sell your own product, such as artwork, T-shirts, and more. When you’re ready to sell your own product, click the blue button at the top right corner of the dashboard. This will take you to your Stores page, which is where you can find a space to sell your products. The good thing about this option is that you don’t have to go through any sort of review process to be able to sell your product.

On the other hand, if you click the black button, you’ll be presented with the Review my product option, where you can start a product review. A product review is when another user rates and comments on your product. While this can be a great way to find out more about your customers’ opinion, reviews can also be used to determine whether or not to purchase a product. If you’ve been inactive for a while and decide to use the marketplace to try and sell your product, you may want to start a review process to get back into the habit of getting product feedback.
