Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart tied the knot this past weekend in an intimate ceremony in Paris. The Twilight stars were married at the City Hall in front of family and friends. The beautiful ivory dress that K-Stewart wore for the occasion was designed by Victoria Beckham. Since the event took place earlier this year, the lovely couple have spent plenty of time in front of the camera sharing precious moments. Here are some of the cutest pictures as well as an insight into the beautiful bride’s big day.
The Romanticism Of A Wedding In Paris
It’s no secret that Paris is the heart and soul of romance. The City of Lights is famous for its romantic atmosphere, elegant ladies, and stylish men. Hollywood stars have been falling over themselves to tie the knot in Paris ever since the City became so romantic. It would seem that Paris is just what the doctor ordered for a troubled relationship. Or maybe it’s vice versa. We’re not sure which. But one thing is for sure, the city is a mecca for lovers.
While Stewart’s family made the trip from Scotland to attend the wedding, it seems that Paris was truly where the heart was. As well as being the site of the ceremony, the city is where Stewart has spent the majority of her time. She has taken Paris by storm and has been spotted wandering the streets alone or in a group of girlfriends. It looks like Stewart is already making the most of her time in the City of Lights and is soaking up every last drop of romance that Paris has to offer.
The Bride Wore An Ivory Dress
One of the main attendees at the wedding was Victoria Beckham. The designer had a lot to celebrate as not only did Roberts and Stewart want to wed, but they also chose to do so in her very own store. What’s more is that the designer managed to keep the dress a secret until the big day. Even more impressively, Victoria did not put a price tag on her creation, making it even more special. If you thought that the designer’s Christian Louboutin wedding shoes were stunning, wait till you see what she comes up with for the big day. We can’t wait to see the pictures.
The Bouquet Was Given By A Real Life Angel
Angelina Jolie also made an appearance at the wedding along with her famous partner Brad Pitt. The gorgeous couple presented the bride with a glorious bouquet of orchids and eucalyptus as well as a fair isle white lace wedding veil. What a treat to see these two incredible ladies supporting Stewart’s big day. The pair have been together for many years but have never been shy of showing the world their affection for one another. It seems that they are determined to spoil and support their darling daughter on this most important day of her life.
The Wedding March Played During The Ceremony
One of the most romantic tunes ever is undoubtedly the wedding march, it’s such a distinctive tune that is associated with weddings. It was composed by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1774 and was initially used as the German equivalent to Britain’s wedding hymn. During the ceremony, the French composer Jacques Housserot was asked to play his famous French overture during the ceremony. With a solo violinist, the wedding music was truly exceptional. And it was one of the highlights of the day.
Pictures Of The Ceremony
We couldn’t leave out the pictures. It seems that Stewart and Roberts wanted the day to be as authentic as possible and they got exactly what they wanted. From the moment the ceremony began until the very end, they were connected via phone so that they wouldn’t miss a moment. It was indeed a beautiful ceremony. The Aftermath
It seems that the wedding was such a special day for the couple. They couldn’t keep their hands off of one another and the honeymoon is already well and truly begun. They will be touring the French capital to see the highlights and to fall more in love with each other. In true romance movie fashion, the newlyweds are already planning their next vacation together. Where will they go next? We have a feeling that Paris is going to be at the top of their list. After all, Paris is the City of Romance.
