Ever since the release of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, fans of the caped crusader have been eagerly awaiting February’s much-anticipated capcomic. With an all-star cast headed by Christian Bale in the lead role, it’s fair to say that the wait for the new Batman #1 hasn’t been a stressful one. The question is, will the first issue live up to our (and Scott Pilgrim’s) high expectations? Let’s take a look.
New #1 Means New Adventures For Batman
As much as we look forward to the return of Scott Pilgrim and company, February’s new issue of Batman will be the first in a long time to not feature the iconic Jack Ryder as the main protagonist. Christian Bale will take the helm as Batman for this new series, with an all-star cast including Ricardo Darin, David Ramsey, and Charlie Adler. The series will be set in the early 1900s and will continue the story of Batman’s early years.
New #26 Means New Begins For Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn will get the new year off to a great start with the release of a brand new Harley Quinn series by Brian Azzarello and Jim Lee. In June, we’ll see a new take on the Suicide Squad in the much-anticipated Deadshot series by Steve McNiven and Christian Gervais. And speaking of Suicide Squad, there’s also the highly-anticipated Captain America: Sam Wilson to look forward to in October.
New #1 Means New Begins For Joss Whedon’s Astonishing Hawkeye
It’s been almost three years since the last major entry in the Avengers series, and ever since then we’ve been patiently waiting for the next big installment. This year, in March, we’ll see the release of Joss Whedon’s third and final film in the Avengers trilogy, Avengers: Endgame. The Blu-ray and DVD will include a brand new Avengers: Endgame prologue that takes place prior to the events of Avengers: Infinity War. We’re finally going to get our long-awaited Hawkeye series in June, and then, in October, we’ll finally get our long-awaited Spiderman: Renewals.
So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and read these new comics!
