You have probably heard by now that actress Angelina Jolie has been in the news for all the right reasons recently. Not only is she set to become a mother for the third time, but she also recently sold a large number of her belongings at auction. Now that the dust has settled, we can take a look back at the big events of the past month and try to make sense of everything that happened.
First off, let’s take a look at what happened in May. On the 3rd, Jolie announced that she was returning to the acting world and would be starring in the movie “First Daughter”. The movie is said to be a fictional story about the First Daughter of the United States and was described as a “strong and passionate role” by the actress. She began shooting the movie in April and wrapped up early in May. This is only a couple of weeks after her last movie wrapped up, so we know that she was extremely busy during that time. On May 16th, it was announced that Jolie would be co-mother of a set of twins with “Grenfell Titanic” star Jon Favreau. The actress and her partner, Viktor Prichard, had been trying for years to get pregnant and finally managed to do so with the help of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). The couple already have a six-year-old son from a previous relationship, Lewis Favreau, so this will be their first set of twins. Favreau and Prichard were elated and said that they could hardly wait to become parents. On May 23rd, it was announced that Jolie would be taking on the role of “Liu Ban Xi’an”, the First Daughter of the U.S. in the movie “The Mandarin Spriggs Majestic Movie”. This is the story of how the famous “The Majestic Movie” went from a small independent film to one of the biggest box office successes of all time, raking in over a billion dollars in ticket sales around the world. The part Jolie was casted in is a secret agent who embarks on a dangerous mission to China to track down the man who stole the most famous painting in the world. The movie is set for release on June 20th, 2018, which is in a couple of months. With so much going on for Jolie in May 2018, it’s no wonder she earned a spot on this year’s list of the top 50 most influential women in the world. On May 30th, it was announced that Jolie would be starring as a bear in the movie “The Eco Warrior”. While we’re sure Jolie was just doing this movie for the money, she still has a passion for animals, and this movie should be considered her pet project. As a celebrity, she probably has a lot of input as to what happens in this movie too, since she will be playing a bear of a different coloration. The movie is based on Laurence Saffir Lyte’s novel “The Bear That Tried to Eat the Sun”, which was made into a movie by the same name back in 1981. The movie is set for release on June 20th, 2018 as well, so you can see that Jolie is quite the movie buff. In June, she will also be seen in “The Girl Who Tricked Time”, which is an adaptation of the novel “The Girl Who Invented Time Machine” by Henry Kissinger. Time Machine is set to be released on October 4th, 2017, and stars the actress Krysten Ritter. This will be the second time that Jolie has worked with Ritter; the two have worked together on “Gone in 60 Sec”, a movie set for release in September 2017. In the fall of 2018, Jolie will also be seen in a pilot episode of a series called “Marcella 2”. The actress is reportedly looking forward to this role because it’s set in the 1950s, which is a time that she holds near and dear to her heart. Series two of this fairy tale based on the legendary Marcella legendary, which starred Helen Mirren and Jane Arden, is set for release in January 2019. Aside from these upcoming projects, Jolie is also reportedly in early stages of a $65 million movie about her early life, which she will co-produce and star in. With so much activity, it’s no wonder that Jolie earned a spot on this year’s list of the 50 most influential women in the world. Unfortunately, Jolie had another close call with death this year. On January 23rd, she fainted during a breathing exercise in front of the camera while shooting “First Daughter”. Fortunately, she was wearing a mask and had a companion with her who was also breathing with her, so this was no accident. The actress had to take a break from the movie to recover, but she said she would be back as soon as possible. On January 31st, she tweeted that she was back on the set of “First Daughter”, which is good to know. If she can find the time, Angelina Jolie will be back on the screen in July 2018 with a few more projects in the works. With so much activity, it’s no surprise that Jolie has earned a spot on this year’s list of the 50 most influential women in the world. It’s been a pretty good year for the actress, who has now been named to the position of Honorary Consul General in Los Angeles for the Argentine Republic.
