After his embarrassing encounter in the city’s historic area, Obert became determined to enjoy himself and not let his guard down. There were a lot of men out there ready to grope him, so he resolved to get drunk and find out what that was like. On one of his first nights in Bangkok, he went to a bar in the district and sat down with his back to the wall, ordering drinks for himself and friends who stopped by later. Looking around, he noticed that there were a lot of men staring at him.
