Robert Pattinson is reportedly set to wed Kristen Stewart. According to Page Six, the pair have secretly married in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24. The location and timing of the ceremony was kept private, but Stewart’s family and close friends were present. The couple are said to have chosen Los Angeles because it is the hometown of both of them. They reportedly tied the knot at 1:00 p.m. at the City Hall, but their families and guests didn’t arrive at the ceremony until well past noon. The reception will be catered by Patburger and will feature a toast from actor Bill Murray, who is also one of the couple’s good friends. Several months ago, an insider told Hollywood Life that the couple had a “traditional wedding” at the beach in St Barts. It’s not yet known where the newlyweds will live, but Stewart previously said she intends to keep her Los Angeles home.
What Will This Wedding Mean For Robert Pattinson’s Career?
While not confirmed, it would appear that Robert Pattinson’s career as a film actor is over. Not only did he marry his longtime girlfriend during the height of the film industry’s #MeToo movement, but he also admitted in court last year that he had been unfaithful to her during their dating period. Since that time, he has kept a very low profile, even avoiding the limelight when his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart was named the Time’s Person of the Year for 2019.
The scandal broke in February 2018 when tabloid The New York Post claimed that Pattinson had been dating model Emily Ratajkowski for years. Ratajkowski took to Instagram to deny the allegations, saying she had only ever been friends with Stewart, with whom she had attended university. She did not address the Post’s claims regarding Pattinson. Two months later, the actor was ordered by a California court to pay $20,000 in damages to Ratajkowski after pleading no contest to one count of misdemeanor misbehavior against a household member. The damage award covered Ratajkowski’s legal fees.
Although he is not yet 26, Robert Pattinson already has a lot to his name. Aside from choosing the venue and the time of day, the couple also decided to host their wedding reception at a restaurant called Patburger, named after their families. In a statement to media, a representative for the couple said:
“They chose one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, and they couldn’t have chosen a more fitting location, as it’s one of the city’s best kept secrets. Their decision to host the event at Patburger was a labor of love, as the restaurant is known for its incredible steaks and the beautiful atmosphere that it creates. Patburger has been a part of Los Angeles and its food scene for more than 70 years, and it’s a firm favorite of theirs. As a way of celebrating this special day, they decided to have the reception there and opted to forego a reception venue. They wanted to keep the focus on their guests and make it a really special day for themselves and their families.”
According to the restaurant’s website, diners can expect delicious foods such as steaks, burgers, and chops served by waiters in white shirts and black ties. The menu offers something for everyone, from shrimp cocktails and tilapia to prime rib, chicken, and lobster. While some of the dishes are served with fries, others are accompanied by water or wine. Patburger is located at 2301 W Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.
The Toast Will Come From Bill Murray, Pattinson’s Friend
One of Robert Pattinson’s closest friends and confidants is actor Bill Murray. The two have been friends for years and even before Robert Pattinson became famous, they would spend time together fishing and hunting. After their professional relationship blossomed, the two regularly attended each other’s premieres, enjoyed long dinners, and regularly golfed together.
In an interview with GQ in December 2019, Murray opened up about the couple’s upcoming wedding. When asked what kind of toast the groom might give at the reception, he replied:

During a press conference to promote his film Sketches from the Book of Life in 2017, Murray was asked what he thought of the upcoming wedding of one of his good friends. He replied:
