It’s been a while since we’ve had any news on the Robert Pattinson front, but after months of media speculation, he’s officially confirmed to grace our screens with a new film – and fans are more than excited!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is the first installment in the final trilogy of the blockbuster vampire franchise. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Kristen Stewart, Willard Haugue, and Peter Facinelli. It is scheduled to hit theaters on November 16th.

Based on true events, Edward Cullen is now a proud dad and he and his clan are adjusting to their new responsibilities. While some might be over the moon at the prospect of being a parent, for Bella and Victoria, this is surely a challenge they’ve been dreading since Book 5 first introduced us to these characters. A challenge that now has a happy solution. Thanks to three magical ladies. Let’s meet the ladies of Twilight…

Bella

Bella is the daughter of Victoria and Edward Cullen and the little sister of Renesmee. Like her brother, she was born in Switzerland and then moved to Italy at the age of three. Her beautiful dark hair is a striking contrast to Victoria’s lighter hair and the similarities don’t stop there. Most importantly, Bella is the quintessential ‘princess’. She is sweet, kind, and intelligent and she excels at anything she puts her mind to. Unfortunately, she can also be rather naive and trusting, which makes her the subject of many a romantic hoax. For all the world to see, Bella’s purity is put to the test when she is forced to choose between her friendship with the devious Victoria and her love for the gorgeous and mysterious Jacob Black. In the end, she chooses love.

When Edward first laid eyes on Bella, he was immediately smitten. He immediately asked her to marry him and she, of course, accepted. Their wedding day was one of the most important days of Bella’s life. It was a day when she became a fully-fledged member of the Cullen family. Sadly, it was also a day when she lost her father. After Edward’s untimely demise, Bella buried her grief in her work. She found a new calling in life and dedicated herself to protecting mankind from the horrors of vampirism. Her weapon of choice? Her bright red hair. Thanks to her father’s hunting genes, Bella is an excellent shot and she is a dead shot. Her uncanny ability with a bow is what first got Edward’s attention. Unfortunately, her aim is rather questionable. In fact, it is all too easy for the villains of her stories to lure her into a false sense of security. Despite this, Bella always manages to surprise her enemies with her quick wits and her uncanny accuracy. Because of this, she is known as “the vainest hunter in the coven”. For all the world to see, Bella’s vanity is further proven when she is forced to choose between her friendship with the devious Victoria and her love for the gorgeous and mysterious Jacob Black.

Victoria

Victoria is the beautiful and vain mother of Bella and Elizabeth. She spent most of her life in the UK, but after her son Edward’s untimely demise, she moved to Switzerland with her two daughters. Victoria is a very strong and independent woman. She believes in her children’s innocence and is fiercely protective of them. It is well known that Victoria has a rather ‘attitude problem’, which some have labeled ‘toxic’. This is something that the family have had to endure since Edward’s passing, as her fits of rage are often directed towards those around her. While she has a rather cold exterior, Victoria isn’t actually unfriendly — she’s just not particularly warm. Unfortunately, this can make her difficult to work with (especially for those who aren’t related to her). Thanks to her upbringing and her breeding, Victoria is a brilliant chef. She often makes her own preserves and jams and spends quite a lot of time in the kitchen. Other than that, she enjoys reading and traveling. She isn’t very fond of children, so she tends to keep her distance from those she doesn’t know well. Elizabeth, the youngest of the Cullen clan, was born with red hair. This is probably because her mother is, in fact, half-Vampire. While Elizabeth doesn’t have her parents’ extraordinary looks, she is a very talented artist. Living in Paris has given her the opportunity to develop her skills and gain experience. She is a bit of a free spirit and is always up for a good time. As a result, she can be a bit of a wild child. Sometimes she can be really naive and trusting, which does her and her friends in trouble. While Elizabeth enjoys the company of men, she is not interested in a long-term relationship. She has many suitors and is often seen with a pink ribbon in her hair, proclaiming her devotion to the cause of saving the universe from evil. Thanks to her mother’s genes, Elizabeth is also an excellent swimmer. She is determined to live life to the fullest and to prove to the world that she is just like her mother – both beautiful and fearless. She wants to be Bella’s protector, as well. If it’s been a while since you’ve heard from Victoria, it’s probably because she’s been busy protecting her children from the evils of this world. That is, until Rosalie Hale (new character) comes along and turns the entire family’s world upside down. For the moment, the Cullens are forced to abandon their fortress – and their perfect family life. They’re on the run, hiding in plain sight, while trying to maintain their perfect family unit. It’s a struggle, but one that Victoria, Bella, and Elizabeth are willing to fight for…

Renesmee

Finally, let’s not forget about the little ‘mermaid’ daughter of Victoria and Edward. She is, in fact, half-human, half-Vampire and she possesses both her parents’ looks and amazing instincts. In other words, she is a total package. Renesmee is the ultimate in femininity; she is a walking, talking contradiction — all sparkle and sass. She can be rather cheeky and playful and she has a wonderful sense of humor. Unfortunately, this can make her rather difficult to deal with. You might get on her bad side and she might totally ignore you, even if you’re best friends. Thanks to her human half, Renesmee is an excellent pianist and she is also a brilliant artist. She is devoted to her family and loves to spend time with her cousins. Unfortunately, her schedule is rather busy and she often has to rush off to make special appearances at Comic-Con and other similar events. Because of this, her friends worry about her. They feel that she doesn’t have the time to develop close relationships with other people. This might be due to Renesmee’s perfectionism. She doesn’t like to show off her work, so she usually keeps to herself. She doesn’t really appreciate when people don’t recognize her talent. This might be one of the reasons why she gets along so well with Bella and Elizabeth. They both support her and encourage her to show off her work. Also, her parents are often away on missions or tours, so she probably feels like she has to take care of herself. In other words, she has a lot on her plate. She also has an over-active imagination and often creates vivid images in her head. These images could be rather disturbing, so she tries to keep them under control. Sadly, her control isn’t always perfect and she has accidentally (or on purpose) revealed secret areas of her home to imaginary friends. Luckily, her family is aware of this quirk and they try to help her with it. Thanks to her amazing beauty and her amazing talent as a musician, it seems that Renesmee will be able to fulfill her dreams of being a famous artist. She wants to be able to travel the world and meet famous people. Unfortunately, her over-active imagination and her need for solitude might keep her from fully engaging with the world. She doesn’t seem to want to share her wonderful world with others, so it’s probably best for both parties if they keep their distance…
