For the past six years, the only question on fans’ lips has been, ‘When will you two get married?’ Well, the ‘bromance’ between actor Robert Pattinson and musician and producer Gustav Fall has finally paid off with their announcement of a blessing as beautiful as the scenery they fell in love with while filming the movie. The gorgeous bride-to-be is a fashion designer named Stella McCartney who turns heads wherever she goes in a daring ivory dress. She is a style icon and a testament to British ingenuity and flair, not to mention her famous designer father. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
The wedding took place in the south of France, a favorite spot for European nuptials. The ceremony started promptly at 11am and was followed by a sumptuous wedding breakfast. As the newlyweds made their way to their first dance, they were greeted by a horde of photographers and journalists. ‘Are you happy?’ yelled one excited member of the press as they posed for a group photo. ‘We are very happy’, answered Robert, planting a kiss on his bride. Happy indeed!
Fall Is The Ultimate Romantic
The British-born Fall is one of the most in-demand musicians in the world. Not only does he play in one of the most influential bands of all time, The Beatles, but also scored the soundtracks for the movies Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. In between his prolific career, he has found time to produce and arrange music for a number of famous artists, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. Needless to say, if you’ve ever shopped at Topshop, you’ve probably heard his music – it’s played at the store. He may be best known for his work with The Beatles, but even their incredible success couldn’t stop him from pursuing his own artistic life. In the ‘60s he founded Family and worked with his partner Richard Andrews on a design collective that created pieces for some of the most famous people in the world. In the ‘70s he began working for Yves Saint Laurent as a stylist. It was during this time that he befriended the designer’s eldest son, Yves Saint Laurent Jnr, who was then just starting out in the business. His role as a friend extended to helping find his niece a husband. When Yves Saint Laurent Jnr launched his fashion house in the ‘80s, it was a case of déjà vu all over again. For the next two decades, Gustav Fall collaborated with his friend on various projects, most notably co-founding the fashion label McQueen. In 2014, he decided to pursue a more independent route and launched his own label, aptly named after himself. It was a decision that has proven to be a masterstroke. In addition to McCartney, he is reportedly close to securing the services of Hollywood royalty, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie for fashion shows and events. Even Kate Middleton got in on the act, wearing a beautiful white dress provided by the designer and styled by her brother, Nicholas, at his wedding to Prince William back in 2011. Perhaps it was all those royal weddings that made him realize what he’s been missing out on all these years. He even covered the iconic Abbey Road for his most recent album, aptly named Abbey Road. As he put it himself, ‘I wanted to do something that nobody else had really done, and that was to write a whole album about what is essentially a crossroads for so many people.’
Robert Is A Modern Renaissance Man
Actor Robert Pattinson is best known for his leading role as the dashing, yet tragically broken-hearted vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. The British actor broke into the business at the age of 23 with a guest appearance in the comedy series Peep Show. Since then, he has gone on to become one of the most in-demand leading men in Hollywood. He played a dual role in the 2014 film The Danish Girl, opposite actress Charlize Theron. Most recently, he can be seen in the action-adventure blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road. The actor has proven himself to be far more than just a pretty face, striking a balance between Hollywood leading man and an all-around renaissance man. He has a successful modeling career behind him, representing some of the most prestigious fashion houses in the world. He also hosted the prestigious British Fashion Awards in 2018. It was also at the BFFAs where he announced that he and McCartney were to be married in the coming months.
Pattinson has long maintained a reputation as a heart-breaker, famously breaking up with his girlfriend of seven years, the fashion designer Anna Wintour, just a few weeks before their planned wedding. The couple eventually reconciled and went on to marry in 2017. As for the other famous faces he has gone on to marry, these relationships haven’t exactly panned out. The list is a mixed bag, with some enduring love marriages while others, like that of Scott Disick and Sofia Coppola, have been marked by a fair share of infidelity. The key to a happy and lasting marriage, it seems, is to find that ‘right woman’, a phrase that has been popping up a lot lately in celebrity circles. It’s not exactly a coincidence. As he told Vogue in 2017, ‘I want to wait until I settle down and can provide for my wife, before I even think about having more children. There’s a reason why I’ve never publicly talked about my love life – I’ve never felt the need to. It’s just a bit of a ‘no’ to the paparazzi. But look, when the time is right, I will be very, very happy to say ‘I do’ and be a husband and a father. For now, these are exciting times for me.’
A Diamond-studded Wedding
McCartney and Fall’s wedding was the dream of a fashionable couple. The designer showcased his unique style while the actor looked dashing in a black suit. Their children, Genevieve and Siena, joined the celebrations as well. It would have been a shame to miss this historical moment. The guests were treated to a live band playing classic rock anthems while the wedding cake was adorned with a likeness of the happy couple in the form of a stella rose. After the ceremony, the newlyweds left for a honeymoon that will see them visit Italy, Malta and Morocco. The destination remains a secret, but it’s safe to assume that Morocco will figure prominently in the itinerary.
It was a very private affair, with just a handful of family and friends in attendance. The lack of a guest list indicates how well the two have kept their ‘just friends’ status over the years, adhering to their mutual agreement to keep their personal lives separate from their professional ones. It was a sentiment echoed by their families, with Pattinson’s mother, Jackie, saying that she was ‘absolutely thrilled’ for the couple while Fall’s parents declared their delight at the impending birth of their first grandchild. An emotional hug was given by McCartney’s mother, Mary, who later said that she had ‘never been more proud’ of her daughter. It was a heartfelt celebration of a beautiful, timeless love.
