Pattinson’s latest album, Water, was released last month and has since debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The LP’s lead single, Never Think, is a vibrant ode to self-reflection and is accompanied by an incredible music video that finds Pattinson at his most vulnerable.

The clip opens with Pattinson seated in a room filled with photographs of family and friends. He’s dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, and appears to be alone. As the camera pans around the space, we realize that it’s not just photographs that fill the room, but also statues, paintings, and other antiques.

In a corner, we see a piano and, as the song kicks in, we learn that he’s been playing it for years, having studied music at school. He begins to pluck away at the keys, his face etched with concentration as he battles a hangover.

Pattinson is best known for his roles in Twilight and Cosmo. His vocals on Never Think are raw and powerful, and his lyrics paint a vivid picture of isolation, introspection, and self-doubt.

In the first verse, he declares, “I feel like I’ve been asleep for a long time/ And now I’m finally awake.” He goes on to question whether or not he’s made the right choices in his life, wondering aloud if he’s “done the right things to do the right way.” As the chorus begins, we hear him ask, “Can I make it on my own/ Can I fly without you?” The song’s answer is an unequivocal yes, as he confidently sings, “I can/ I can try.”

The video ends with a shot of Pattinson playing an organ as a robed figure lays down next to him. It’s a moving scene, and one that will undoubtedly provoke a range of emotions from viewers.

Pattinson’s debut album, Water, was released on June 15, and is currently available for purchase. The singer will head out on the road for the foreseeable future, performing all across North America.

The Biggest News Stories

The biggest news story this past week is, without a doubt, the death of Prince. The legendary musician and artist Prince was found dead in his Paisley Park Studios on Thursday, April 6. One of the most influential and unique figures in modern music, Prince’s influence endures to this day, and he will be dearly missed. The artist’s personal guitar, the legendary purple guitar he called “The Symbol of Love,” was among the first items to go on sale following his passing. The iconic guitar was originally played by Prince himself and has been passed down through the singer’s family. It is currently on display at the Guitar Museum in Oklahoma City, where fans can pay their respects to the legendary musician by visiting his display case. In addition to the guitar, various merchandise and memorabilia from the artist are available for purchase at the Guitar Museum, including Prince’s leather jacket and baseball cap, along with his platinum record for the album, Controversy. While in Paisley Park, fans can also wander through the place known as the “Graffiti Garden,” where Prince left his mark on the walls with his legendary “20 QUESTIONS” questionnaire, which has now been answered by several of his most famous (and sometimes infamous) collaborators.
