Most of us are still recovering from the shock of Robert Pattinson’s very public split from Kristen Stewart. The 27-year-old actor dated the 23-year-old actress for eight years, before calling it quits in April 2014. Since then, he’s been single and largely reclusive. But that all changed in May 2018 when the “Twilight” star resurfaced at the Cannes Film Festival looking remarkably healthy and happy.
Here’s a closer look at the transformation of Robert Pattinson.
A Change In Hair And Makeup
The biggest difference between the two Robs is the hair and makeup. Gone is the shaggy hair look he sported for most of his twenties, and in its place is a look that’s somewhere between George Clooney and Brad Pitt. The Hollywood hunk sports a slick pompadour that he flips through as he chats with the media.
The cosmetics are also a clear nod to the changing times. Gone are the days of heavy makeup and dark, thick eyelashes. Now Rob regularly wears nude lipsticks and light blushes. He has lightened his hair and used a lotion rather than a cream to keep it moisturized.
A Change In Wardrobe
Another major difference between the two Robs is the wardrobe. Gone are the jeans, T-shirts and hoodies – what little clothing he had before the breakup is now mostly relegated to casual Friday appearances at work. His wardrobe now consists mainly of sharp suits and designer dresses – and the occasional tie or pocket square.
Not that we want to rush him, but hopefully this change in his personal style will help him find happiness. Remember: no matter how you look, you’ll never be able to please everyone so don’t worry about what other people think. In the end, it’s you and your own happiness that matters.
More Activity
We also noticed that Rob seems much more active now than he was before. The English actor regularly exercises (and he’s been spotted at the gym a lot since the breakup), and although he doesn’t talk about his health issues, it seems to be doing him good. With more energy comes a new outlook on life, and it’s clear that Rob isn’t interested in staying inside anymore. In fact, he’s shunning his Hollywood Hills home in favour of new places to explore.
Besides, with the worldwide success of “The Rover” and upcoming projects like “Venice Unleashed” and “The Lighthouse”, it’s clear that Rob is fully engaged in what he’s doing and doesn’t seem to have time to focus on his personal life. In the end, it’s good to see a positive change in a dark time.
Less Recluse
It’s a well-known fact that Rob was very reclusive before the breakup. The actor rarely gave interviews and wasn’t particularly social. Since then he’s opened up to the media a little, but still keeps most of his personal life private. Now that he’s rediscovered his personal spark, it seems like he’s wanting to get back out there and be more social. It’ll be interesting to see how much more active he becomes now that he’s stopped burying himself in work.
Besides, now that he doesn’t have to worry about his personal life being splashed all over the media, it’s opened up the possibility for him to date. At the moment he’s single and focusing on his work, but who knows what the future holds. After all, it was only a matter of time before he met someone new and started dating again.
More Confident
It seems like Rob has finally found the courage to love himself again, and it’s showing in all aspects of his life. The English actor has always been very insecure about a number of things, especially his looks. He’s regularly been found scouring the internet for comments on his appearance, and even went as far as hiring a team of psychologists to help him figure out why he felt the need to constantly compare himself to others. Now that he’s stopped caring about what other people think about him, it seems like he’s able to embrace who he is and not worry about what others think about him.
Also, it should be noted that Rob isn’t the only one who had to overcome a rough patch before he could truly relax and enjoy his newfound freedom. The breakup with Kristen was deeply painful for Elizabeth Taylor, who spent twenty years of her life with William Holden. The legendary actress eventually got over her sadness and decided to enjoy life again, even though she never did officially remarry Holden.
A Slick Surface
Besides looking good, Robert Pattinson also seems to have changed the way he engages with the media. Gone are the days of giving long-winded interviews, and in its place is a more streamlined approach. It seems like Rob has figured out how to be more efficient with his time and isn’t afraid to use time-saving tactics whenever he can. He’ll frequently use a laptop while doing press interviews now, instead of pen and paper, as he feels it saves him time in the long run. Since the breakup, he also refuses to engage in petty bickering with the media, instead focusing on the work at hand.
It seems like Robert Pattinson is finally learning to love himself again, and although we’re thrilled for him, it’s clear that this is still a difficult road to travel. Hopefully this change in his personal style and outlook will help him find happiness again, and help others who may be going through similar situations.
