The year 2014 was a big one for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Not only did they tie the knot, but they also released highly anticipated films – ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ – that featured heavy on-screen action and a more mature theme than fans were expecting.
It was a bumpy ride for the young couple, but in the end they came out on top. And as they head into the new year, they are looking forward to continuing their relationship in a bigger and better way. We take a look at what life has in store for them in 2015.
A Renowned Name
First of all, let’s start with the good news. The couple made the right choice – they chose to marry each other. What an incredible journey it has been. From breaking up to making up with, the lovebirds have certainly come a long way. They proved that even though their star was on the rise, they were still down-to-earth individuals who cared about and respected each other. We couldn’t be prouder to see such a well-deserved happy ending.
Speaking of their well-deserved fame, 2015 will undoubtedly mark the beginning of a whole new chapter for the ‘Bardot-Stewart’ clan. There will be no going back to the days when Robert and Kristen were just two unknown actors who had to hustle for roles. They will join the list of famous, if not infamous, former lovers that include Brad Pitt, Emma Stone and Angelina Jolie. The world is their oyster.
Their Biggest Challenge
Even though they made the right choice, 2014 was still a challenging year for Robert and Kristen. Let’s just say that the last six months of the year were particularly trying. Between filming their new movie ‘Suicide Squad’ and juggling wedding planning, the couple hardly had any free time. And what’s worse is that they weren’t always able to enjoy the few hours they did have together. The only positive note is that the couple learned a lot from their experiences and grew as people and as a couple. We can’t wait to see what they will bring to the table in the coming year. Although, we desperately want them to take their time and be careful with what they are doing, so that they don’t rush into anything. Being famous doesn’t always mean you can treat yourself to whatever you want, when you want. You have to be smarter about your choices. Hopefully they will listen to our advice. This may sound like a trivial point, but it’s actually a big one. Being famous doesn’t mean you can throw caution to the wind, as you have nothing to lose. You have to be mindful of what you’re doing and understand the responsibility that comes with it. You have to take advantage of whatever opportunities come your way, but you also have to be smart about the pitfalls that await you.

One of the biggest selling points of ‘The Twilight Saga’ is that it isn’t your typical teenage angst-filled rom-com. Even though there is plenty of action and adventure, the driving factor behind the entire series is the growing relationship between Bella and Edward. For years, teen rom-coms were based on the classic ‘boy meets girl’ story line, where the boy would fall for the girl and end up giving up his own autonomy for her. But, over the past few years, that formula has been turned on its head. We know that Edward and Bella are grown-ups and have been through a lot already, especially since ‘New Moon’ was released in 2013. We see them interact with each other and their families in a more mature manner, which makes their love story that little bit more relatable. If ‘The Twilight Saga’ has taught us anything, it’s that love can be anything and anyone. It doesn’t have to be restricted to a ‘boy meets girl’ story line and can be as mature and emotional as the people involved are willing to make it. Sometimes, it can even be a little shocking. We’ve seen grown men cry and women give up their dreams, all because of love. Love can be a powerful force and can turn strangers into friends, and friends into family. It can overcome any obstacle and bring people together, even if it’s just for a day. As long as there is love, there is hope. And we can’t wait to see what Robert and Kristen will bring to the table in the coming year.
