One of the best things about living in the UK is that we have a wealth of talent close at hand. It’s not uncommon to see someone performing on stage in one city and the next day finding themselves on the big screen in another.
Whether it’s been down to great skill or good fortune, our country is full of gifted people who can effortlessly straddle both the small and the big screens. So when it comes to acting talent, we have plenty of options available to us without even having to leave the UK. Should we decide to visit the US of A, we can always rely on some of our English cousins to turn up the heat.
Which leads us to our first question – who is the better actor, Josh Whitehouse or Rob Pattinson? We have two very talented actors who are currently embroiled in a war of words, with Whitehouse claiming that he is the superior talent and that Pattinson is just a pretty face.
“I’d like to put it out there that Rob is simply doing what he was born to do, and I was fortunate enough to stumble upon what I was born to do,” Whitehouse said. “Rob is a stunning specimen and I could watch him perform comedy every night of the week. However, it’s not a comedy series that I’d like to share with you. It’s mostly action films and I think you’ll agree that my characterisations are pretty gripping. If I was to compare myself to anyone it would be Daniel Day Lewis – the man is a living legend and someone I aspired to be like.
“
Pattinson, for his part, has only good things to say about Whitehouse, as he’s directed at him in a number of his social media posts. “I love @JoshWhitehouse. He’s an incredible talent and I’m so happy that we get to play against each other on @SkySports,” Pattinson said.
Pattinson has also had something to say about Whitehouse’s attitude to acting. “Really proud of my friend @JoshWhitehouse. He has an incredible amount of raw talent that I’m sure he’ll go on to conquer,” Pattinson said.
For what it’s worth, we’d place our money on Josh Whitehouse. Not only has he had the good fortune to study with some of the best acting coaches in the world, but he also had the opportunity to work with one of the greatest screenwriters of all time – Woody Allen. It would seem that Allen sees something in Whitehouse that he didn’t see in Pattinson, as he’d had this to say about his student: “Josh is an actor’s actor, he’s got the instincts of an actor and the charisma of a star. He’s going to go far.”
So while we’re waiting for Josh Whitehouse to go on to conquer the world, we can sit back and watch him do what he does best – entertain us with his comedic talent.
