It is well known that Janelle Monae and Robert Pattinson have been friends for a very long time. The two have known each other since 2006, when they worked together on MTV’s show, The City. In 2014, they worked together on the movie, Moonlight. Since then, they have rarely separated, usually staying at the same residence or going on joint vacation. In fact, all of their vacation spots are either beachside or poolside. There is no other kind.

The strong friendship between the two has resulted in them being nominated for the prestigious Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Golden Globes for their roles in Moonlight. However, these nominations have not come easily. In 2017, they had to fight for their Best Actor nomination. Initially, they were both up for the role of Aaron Burr in the movie, Vice, but only Monae got the part. She eventually lost out to Timothée Chalamet for his role in Call Me By Your Name. It would be another three years before they would be nominated in the same category for their work in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Despite their busy schedules and hectic lifestyles, it seems that they have not lost their talent for creating beautiful music and breathtaking dance numbers. In fact, Monae has released several very popular albums and has several number-one singles on the Billboard Top 100. She is also a talented singer-songwriter and has released five studio albums.

For his part, Pattinson has kept a very low profile since the end of Moonlight. He has only performed in small venues and has not released any music or appeared in any films. However, he made a brief cameo appearance in the 2019 movie, The House of Gucci, which was nominated for two Golden Globes. It seems that Pattinson has decided to come back to the spotlight after a long hiatus and the strong friendship between him and Monae will no doubt serve as a driving force behind this change.
