After spending more than four years at Google, a search engine company where he worked as a product manager, he decided that he wanted to change gears and try something new. So he went on a sabbatical and worked as a shepherd for a Scottish shepherd and crofter, MacTavish MacKeen. He later moved to Bali to work as a mountain guide and spent a total of seven months living on a farm. Along the way, he also worked as a marine biologist in Australia and took a gap year in South Africa. In his spare time, he has traveled to more than 40 countries and is passionate about learning new things and about life in general. Most Loved Pastime
For some, working through problems with a team of coworkers and getting things done might seem like a stressful endeavor. However, for James Pattinson, solving problems and getting things done are among his favorite pastimes. When he took a step back from his busy schedule, he found that he enjoyed spending more time with his colleagues and getting to know them better. It also helped that he had more time to discover new things and learn new things. He truly loves his work and is grateful for the opportunities that it presented to him. In his spare time, he likes to solve problems and is always looking for ways to improve things. He has a strong desire to ensure that his workers are well taken care of and are happy in their work environment.
What Type Of Hobbies Do You Have?
Besides solving problems and enjoying his work, James also loves being on the move. When he’s not working, he’s traveling the world and learning new things. With so many countries and cultures that he’s experienced, he has a lot to talk about and plenty of fascinating stories to tell. While he doesn’t have any specific hobbies or interests outside of work, James does enjoy being alone and in his company. He also enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. What Type Of Places Do You Like To Travel To?
James has visited more than 40 countries over the course of his life. Having grown up in Scotland, he has always had the desire to explore the world and travel to different places. He particularly likes going to Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa. In terms of Western Europe, he feels that the destinations generally aren’t as interesting as those found in other continents. For example, Lisbon is a beautiful city, but it doesn’t have much in terms of what you could experience for the sake of exploration. So, he’d rather stay in a hostel and move around a lot.
How Do You Spend Your Free Time?
While James enjoys being on the move and exploring new places, he also likes to relax at home. When he’s not working, he likes to spend time with his family and friends. In terms of what he does in his spare time, James said, “I like to read, listen to music, and I play the guitar. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and being able to share this with others is incredibly rewarding.”
Retirement
After spending more than 20 years in an urban environment, James decided that he wanted to try something new. So, he went on a sabbatical and worked as a shepherd for MacTavish MacKeen, a Scottish shepherd and crofter. After four months, he decided that he wanted to continue exploring the world and wanted to base himself in Bali. Here, he worked as a mountain guide and spent another seven months living on a farm. Along the way, he also worked as a marine biologist in Australia and took a gap year in South Africa. In 2018, James retired from active duty and now spends his time exploring the world and learning new things. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is grateful for the opportunities that his work has afforded him.
