Actor James Pattinson has enjoyed a very successful year, starting with his Golden Globe nominated performance in “Beautiful People”, followed by a starring role in the Christmas hit “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold”, which was followed by a role in the upcoming movie “The King”. This year has also seen him perform on stage in London’s West End and he’s been busy making public appearances promoting his new film “This Is Not a Test”, due for release in December 2017. We’re keeping track of all the latest news so you don’t miss a beat.

Awards And Nominations

Pattinson has been nominated for several awards including the Golden Globe and British Academy Film Awards, as well as many more in the pipeline including the Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Awards. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has announced the 2018 Golden Globe nominations, and James Pattinson has been nominated in five categories, including Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie. The ceremony will be held on January 6th, 2018.

His other nominations include the BAFTA Award, which he’ll be competing against co-stars Hugh Jackman and Annabelle Wallis for; the BBC Award; the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie.

While we anxiously await the outcome of these elections, let’s quickly turn our attention to other awards events, such as the GLAAD Media Awards, where James Pattinson will be competing for awards in two categories; the Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Movie or Television Limited Series or Special and the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series. It would be a great achievement for James to take home this award. The GLAAD Media Awards will take place on February 23rd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

West End And Broadway

Pattinson’s year started in the West End with a starring role in the hit stage play “The Audience”, which saw him play a famous artist who witnesses his own death. The play transferred to Broadway in March 2018, where it is currently playing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the play will soon end its run on Broadway and head to London’s West End. It was originally intended that the play would run until April 14th.

Speaking of Broadway, the Tony Award-winning production of Les Misérables boasts an impressive lineup of stars, including Hugh Jackman, Adam Levine, and Morena Baccarin. These three prominent individuals will be competing for Tony Awards in the upcoming months, with a performance in front of an audience scheduled for April 6th through April 9th. It would be a great honor for any of these three to take home the ultimate accolade in theater.

International Solo Exhibition

Pattinson will also be performing at the Birmingham International Arts Festival this summer, along with his band Badfinger. The festival takes place on June 16th through June 24th and will feature many renowned artists from around the world. This will be James’s first solo exhibition outside the UK since he began his acting career, so it would be a chance for fans to see him perform live in the UK, as well as further afield in countries like Ireland and the Netherlands.

New Film And TV Projects

We’d be remiss not to mention several upcoming films and TV projects that star, or are star-led. Firstly, James will be seen in theaters this December in the much-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling novel, 50 Shades Darker.

After a three-year absence from the big screen, Hugh Jackman will be seen in theaters in a major comeback in the new year, with a starring role in the upcoming Will Smith drama, Bright.

We haven’t heard much about this year’s Annabelle Wallis-starring adaptation of D.H. Lawrence’s classic, Lady Windermere’s Fan, but it’s bound to be something special, given that Annabelle is easily one of the best actresses working today.

This year, James will also be seen in theaters as a lead in the psychological thriller, This Is Not a Test, and in the upcoming Christmas drama, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, which is based on the popular BBC documentary of the same name, first broadcast in December 2017.

Further down the line, James will play the lead in the upcoming adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s Gone Country, the lead in the upcoming series The King, which is based on the best-selling book series by George Pelecanos; and in the sci-fi drama, Altered Carbon.

Upcoming Concerts And Tours

Aside from his busy schedule in theaters and on TV, James will play several concerts this year. First up is a solo concert in London on March 2nd, which will be followed by a string of concerts in Germany, starting in Cologne on March 3rd and continuing in Frankfurt on March 7th. These concerts will be in support of his new album, Badfinger, which was released last year. It would be great to see Jackman perform live, but this might be one of the last shows we get to see him on stage.

James will also be playing at several festivals this year, including Desertfest, where he’ll play alongside Ed Sheeran, The Beach Boys and more, at the Kursaal Rotterdam in the Netherlands, on July 7th. Other festivals include Latitude, where he’ll play in a solo set, and Coachella, where he’ll play alongside rapper G-Eazy.

This year will see James perform around the world, with the final stop on his tour scheduled to take place in November at the Bijou Theater in New York City. It’d be great to see Jackman and Pattinson performing live in a city like New York, but it’s unlikely either one of them will get the chance to share a stage with Will Smith, who will also be appearing at this year’s Bijou Theater, opening night being on November 8th. So at least we’ll get to see Smith in concert.

There’s so much to look forward to concerning Pattinson this year, not least of which is the opportunity to see him perform live. His solo concert in London is something to look forward to, as is his tour of Germany and the Netherlands. A huge year for Pattinson, we’re sure you’ll agree. Let’s quickly turn our attention to upcoming events and celebrations, such as the GLAAD Media Awards, where he’ll be competing for awards in two categories, as mentioned above. The awards ceremony will take place on February 23rd, so plenty of time to celebrate!
