Have you seen Robert Pattinson playing the piano? He seems to be doing a lot of public appearances these days, with his bandaid on show, and now he’s playing the piano in Twilight. But is it just a stunt to promote the new film?

We’ve all seen the memes and the funny Instagram photos, but what is the reality behind the scenes? Has Robert Pattinson really been playing the piano for the past two years? Is he training to be a professional pianist? And who is that singing behind him?

Let’s look at the evidence.

Is The Robert Pattinson Stunt Really For Real?

First off, let’s establish that this is not a stunt. This is, in fact, Robert Pattinson playing the piano. He is not wearing a costume or using a stunt person. Even if it weren’t for the ‘Twilight’ tagline, we would know it’s Robert Pattinson because of his long hair and bandaid. He even stated this was “the real” Robert Pattinson in a recent interview. So, no, this is not a stunt. It is the real deal.

Is He Training To Be A Professional Pianist?

Now, let’s examine if Robert Pattinson has been training to be a professional pianist. First off, he does have an impressive musical background. He trained as a classical pianist and is considered to be a “child prodigy”. Furthermore, he stated that he plays the piano because it is the one thing he’s really good at. So, if we look at the evidence, it would seem that Robert Pattinson has been training to be a professional pianist.

Who Is That Singing Behind Him?

As already stated, this is not a stunt. This is also not a performance by another singer. It is, in fact, Robert Pattinson. However, someone is singing behind him. We can’t hear them because of the music, but there is definitely someone singing. Who is that masked man (or woman)?

That is, in fact, David LaChapelle, Robert Pattinson’s friend and former classmate. David is an award-winning composer, lyricist, and performer. He has a long history of collaborating with Robert, from the first Batman movies to ‘Water for Elephants’. He even helped write the songs for ‘Twilight’. So, it seems that Robert Pattinson has been training with his music pal David LaChapelle.

Is This Just A Film Stunt?

So, is this just a film stunt? Is ‘Twilight’ trying to make us believe that it’s real? Or is Robert Pattinson actually playing the piano, as he claims?

There is one more clue that supports the theory that Robert Pattinson is not just playing the piano for laughs. In the last couple of years, we’ve seen Robert Pattinson do a lot of stunts, ranging from skateboarding to surfing. And now he’s playing the piano. Yet, he hasn’t done anything else that would suggest this is an act.

As much as we’d love to believe that this is all a publicity stunt, the evidence doesn’t point that way. This is, in fact, the real deal and Robert Pattinson is not faking it. He is, in fact, an amazing pianist. It’s just that he is not inclined to show this off to the public. He said in a recent interview, “I play the piano because it’s the one thing I’m really good at. If people want to hear my songs, they can come and listen.” So, while we would love to see more of Robert Pattinson playing the piano, it seems that this is exactly what he’s been training for.
