For the past few months, all of Hollywood has been buzzing about the possibility of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart getting back together. And now that their breakup has been officially revealed, it looks like everyone has been wondering if their romance is truly over.
While there was initially speculation that these two might try to mend their ways and remain friends, it seems that this is not the case. In fact, according to new legal documents filed by Stewart’s lawyers, there is still a chance that Robert Pattinson could find himself back in her good graces. But before you start daydreaming about a reunion, it is important to note that this is still very much a rumor. And even if it turns out to be true, Stewart’s lawyers are already warning her ex-boyfriend that he could still walk a dangerous path if he continues to go over her head.
The drama began in August when Stewart went on an indefinite hiatus from social media to focus on her health and well-being. The actor even offered to cancel upcoming promotional events for her upcoming movie so that she would have more time to spend with her ex.
To make matters worse, the two started communicating again, which led to speculation that Stewart might reverse her decision and go back into the public eye after all. And it looked like Robert Pattinson had finally convinced her to give him a second chance, which is why she was spotted emerging from a yoga class with her arms locked around the 35-year-old actor’s neck as they walked together toward his car. Soon after, the couple was seen cuddling on a beach in Thailand during a break from filming, fueling speculation that they were indeed getting back together.
But nothing could have prepared people for the announcement that the two were actually calling it quits for good. In an exclusive interview with Ellen, Stewart admitted that there were no hard feelings on either side and that she wanted to remain friends, which is how they ended up being photographed laughing and joking together during a hike in Italy.
And while they might seem to have mended their ways and put the past behind them, their split has actually done more harm than good to Pattinson’s chances of winning back Stewart. According to Stewart’s new legal documents, she is still under a restraining order and has kept her social media accounts hidden because of the “unreasonable behavior” of her ex. The actress also alleges that Robert Pattinson has “harassed and abused” her throughout their relationship. In fact, these aren’t even the only legal actions the 35-year-old actor has taken against Stewart. In October 2018, he sued her for “interference” and breach of contract, claiming that she had refused to allow him to have certain rights to her creative output as part of their agreement. This was despite the fact that he had signed an agreement granting her complete control over all of her creative endeavors. So, as you can see, if Robert Pattinson wants to win Kristen Stewart back, he will have to do it the old-fashioned way by making her believe in his promise to change.
Can Robert Pattinson Change?
Forbes published an in-depth analysis of Robert Pattinson’s lawsuit against his former flame and concluded that he could very well win his legal case. The publication noted that while it is true that the media has a fascination with the pair, there is a lot more to their story than meets the eye and that the blame for the deterioration of their relationship lies squarely with Kristen Stewart.
According to Forbes, since their separation in 2017, Robert Pattinson has taken steps to change his ways and be a better person. He now attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and has a private therapist that he sees regularly. He also makes an effort to engage with his ex-fans through a variety of means, from Instagram to YouTube videos.
The publication also cited interviews with people who have known the couple for years, including their friends from high school, who had this to say about how much their relationship has improved since they broke up:
“Kristen and Rob are a lot more mature now. They have changed so much… they are so much more patient with each other — they are always communicating now. Before, they would just shut down and not talk to each other for days. They used to fight a lot, but they are way more mature now. A lot of people don’t realize how much they have changed — they used to be so immature.”
So from what we can tell, Robert Pattinson has made a concerted effort to reform and be a better person. And based on these interviews, it seems like he may have genuinely changed. But as much as he might want to prove to Kristen Stewart that he has changed, he still has a long way to go before he can convince her that he is worthy of her forgiveness. Because, you see, she did not do this out of spite or malice; she did it because she genuinely cares about Rob and wants the best for him.
And if he wants to win her back, he will have to do more than apologize — he will have to change his ways and prove to her that he is capable of being a good husband and father. Only then will she be willing to give him a chance at redemption and forgiveness.

Although Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s romance was brought to the public’s attention through intrusive and inappropriate touching, their legal battle was actually overshadowed by a restraining order that Rob issued against her. Well, actually, it is more accurate to say that the restraining order is the result of a legal battle that has been raging for more than a year and a half, ever since news of their breakup first broke in March 2017.
In an interview with TMZ, Stewart’s lawyer, Seslovich, revealed that the actress’ decision to take a break from social media was motivated by fear that Rob was going to go public with her personal information and “ruin” her career. Seslovich also revealed that while Stewart was willing to let bygones be bygones and give Rob a second chance, her client still has anxiety about being in his presence and the threat that he will “stalk” her once more before they are ready to be in each other’s company.
According to TMZ, Stewart filed for the restraining order at the end of March 2018 after she and Rob were spotted on a hike in Italy. She also filed for a divorce a few months later, in August of that year. Since then, their legal battle has taken numerous twists and turns that have kept the media busy. And it seems that even Ellen, Stewart’s close friend, believes that Rob has changed for the better — she recently posted several videos and photos on Instagram, sharing her excitement about the 35-year-old actor’s newfound sobriety and his continuing efforts to better himself.
Why Has Robert Pattinson Been Blacklisted?
While it might seem as though Robert Pattinson is doing everything in his power to secure Kristen Stewart’s forgiveness and win her back, he is actually doing the exact opposite. And it has everything to do with his next film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which reunites him with Macaulay Culkin and is currently in post-production. As you might imagine, there have been many attempts to discredit the film and its lead star, with some media outlets even going so far as to call for a boycott. However, none of this has hurt the film’s box office gross, which, as of this writing, stands at an impressive $68 million, with more than 500 theaters across the country screening the movie. Even the much-despised Colin Farrell, who portrays a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the film, has publicly stated that he thinks the film is “fair” and that Macaulay Culkin has turned in a “brilliant performance.”
