Rob’s upcoming wedding to Kate Bosworth will be one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year. The news that the son of the late Twentieth Century icon Robin Williams and actress/model Siobhan McAndrew was set to wed Kate, formerly of the band Sugary Shakedown, was met with excitement from fans who had been following both their careers. In fact, many fans had already made their way to California to be at the wedding.

But is the handsome British actor still engaged to Kate Bosworth?

We looked at several factors to determine whether or not the couple is still an item. Here’s what we found.

Wedding Rings

We started by checking to see if Rob had changed his fiancee’s engagement ring. The diamond solitaire, however, remains the same. According to an unconfirmed report from E! News, he had given her some ‘less flashy’ rocks as engagement presents that he later put in cuffs to make them into a set of wedding rings for the couple.

This would explain why the 27-year-old actor wore the same diamond solitaire ring throughout several of the films he was in. Most notably, he wore a similar ring in 2005’s The Departed when he was with his Breaking Dawn co-star, Kate Middleton. The movie is set in the 1960s and revolves around the heroin epidemic of that time period. Some viewers might remember that Rob’s character worked for a drug kingpin while he was undercover in Amsterdam. This is how he met Kate, who was also playing a drug addict in the movie

Although he did not specifically say that they were set to wed in the film, it seems likely that Rob’s character was indeed going to propose to Kate at some point.

When that moment came, the audience got their wish and watched as the star weds the beautiful actress. It is possible that Rob Pattinson will continue to wear the diamond solitaire for the rest of his life. After all, he was wearing the same ring in 2009’s My Week With Marilyn when he was caught on camera hugging actress Eva Green. While the pair were not officially dating at the time, the film was released a few months after their on-screen kiss. They were also photographed together at the 2011 Met Gala wearing matching diamonds.

Wedding Plans

Another way to figure out if a couple is still an item is to check to see if they’re still planning to wed or are they taking their time to figure out their vision of perfect match. It seems that Rob and Kate are still very much engaged and are looking toward the wedding day as the conclusion to their whirlwind romance.

According to People, the couple were first spotted holding hands at an upscale restaurant in Los Angeles last November. Since then, they’ve been spotted shopping for engagement rings and attending private dinner parties with friends and family. The outlet reports that as the wedding date nears, the pair is looking into renting out a mansion in lieu of hosting the church ceremony themselves.

An insider told People that Rob wanted something unique and personal, while Kate wanted the wedding to be as “traditional as possible,” which is why they settled on a Greek Orthodox ceremony. It’s a decision that will make many of Rob’s fans happy, as he is a devout Christian and often posts Bible verses and inspirational quotes on his Instagram account. The insider also noted that the bride-to-be wanted a summer wedding but was willing to compromise since the season had already passed by the time the couple began their search for a church.

Is There Another Woman In His Life?

The fact that Kate is already engaged to be married to a man who has yet to propose is arguably a pretty strong indication that their relationship is more serious than anyone would guess from their playful public images. So it’s no wonder that the press is full of questions surrounding whether or not he’s seeing someone else. As mentioned by E! News, the topic came up during the making of the couple’s documentary, A Pattinson Celebration. While discussing his wedding plans with the press, the 27-year-old actor was quizzed about his relationship status. He responded by saying that he was indeed “heartbroken” after splitting from his long-time girlfriend, Bella Hadid. Although he had originally planned to walk her down the aisle at her upcoming wedding to Taylor Kinney, those plans were scrapped when she broke up with him. Instead, he was given a much more subdued, solo walk by a judge as his father officiated.

In addition to his relationship with Kate, Rob is also believed to have a platonic friendship with Priyanka Chopra. The pair were photographed together at the Met Gala in New York City last May. Rob had previously called her “a truly beautiful girl” during an episode of the Graham Norton Show in 2014. The actress later confirmed their friendship on her blog, writing: “We’ve been friends for a while now and we always have such fun together.”

The pair were also spotted walking hand in hand at the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. At the time, they were not yet an item romantically but had been friends for some time. When asked about the relationship at the show’s afterparty, Rob told Elle: “I don’t know what she sees in me. I think she’s better off working on her modeling career. She’s beautiful, successful, and rich. I’m just a dude. I don’t know if I’m ever going to amount to much.”

Children

Since the beginning of the year, Rob has made several public appearances with his three children. On New Year’s Eve, he shared a photo of himself and his children at a dinner party on his Instagram account. The following day, he posted a video of his son, Zach, singing “Happy New Year” and “Auld Lang Syne.”

The father of two later posted a series of photos from the same event, showing off the gleaming smiles of his children.

If Rob is set to wed Kate in the near future, he will be the father of five. The couple already has a daughter, Luna Victoria, whom they adopted from Portugal in January 2018. The child’s grandparents are Robin and Diane Williams. The British actor and Kate have also been vocal about the importance of fostering relationships with children from other countries. In an interview with W magazine, Kate said: “I think everybody should be able to be a parent, regardless of whether or not they can afford to have a kid. It’s important to find the right person and create a family. I’d like to adopt as much as I can. I think it’d be amazing if more people did that. It’s important to be able to show kids that it’s possible to make a good life for yourself and that there’s more than one way to do things.”

The British actor will have to wait until after his wedding to Dad to make any serious inroads into carving out a niche for himself in Hollywood. Although he has appeared in three films so far, 2019 is expected to be his breakthrough year. He is currently working with the team behind the upcoming superhero movie, The New Avenger, on a script that will see him play a character named Walker. The film is set for a March 15, 2020 release.

Kate is also expected to have a sizable role in the comedy sequel, The Kidnapping of Charlie Hebdo. The film is due for release on January 18, 2020 and will mark the first time that she and co-star Benicio Del Toro have shared the screen since they worked together on the 2007 film, Underworld.
