The year 2016 was a big one for celebrities, and it all started with a cheating scandal that rocked Hollywood and the world. But who cares about the gossip when we have cute pictures to look at, right?

Kristen Stewart and BFF Squad
The year saw Kristen Stewart and her BFF squad go on an adventure around the world which was chronicled in the epic one-two-punch of Netflix documentaries The Snowflake and Humble Pie – both of which are essential viewing if you want to know more about Kristen Stewart and her friendship with her famous girlfriends. This year also saw Kristen Stewart work on expanding her BFF squad and adding Victoria Beckham to the group. Now, the beautiful Beckham is also a good friend of Kristen Stewart, and it’s funny how these celebrity friendships work. You’d think that the two ladies would be rivals, but they’re not. They respect and support each other, and that’s what’s important.
This year also saw the premiere of Madam Secretary and saw Tom Hiddleston and Emily Whitment make their debut as a couple, making it official that they are a couple in love. But Hiddleston was scandalized when it was reported that he had an affair with Whitment (who plays his wife in the show). Luckily, this was just a rumor, and Hiddleston continues to shun the press despite the drama surrounding him and Whitment. We can only imagine what sort of headlines the press would write if they actually got to see the adorable couple cuddle and make out on a red carpet.
Robert Pattinson and Kate Winslet
This year also saw the end of The Royal Wives Club and the beginning of The Ones – two more high profile Netflix documentaries that followed the troubled lives of Kate Winslet and her sister Helen as they struggled with shame and secrecy in the face of publicity and scandals. We also saw the beginning of Kate and Robert Pattinson’s official dating season, where they both attended the majority of the Dress to Impress glam marvels au naturellement – or as they say in French – ‘natural beauty’ marvels (the duo was spotted holding hands at multiple glam marvels).
Kate Middleton and Prince William
It’s no surprise that the most loved couple of this year was Prince William and Kate Middleton. A year without a royal wedding is a wedding to be looked forward to. When the dearly beloved couple wedded in a private civil unlocking ceremony in London in October, we were treated to one of the most beautiful ceremonies we’ve ever witnessed. And what a wedding it was. The Prince of Wales’ grand diamond was delivered by the Dean of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh, and the church was packed with special guest including the Prince of Wales and the Queen of Great Britain. The guests were treated to a private chant by the Dean, a traditional Irish wedding song, which was sung to an accordion and whistles. The ceremony itself was a gorgeous and private family event, and for our part, it’s one of the most memorable weddings of 2016.
Chloé Griffin and Nathaniel Riley
Chloé Griffin is an American entrepreneur who made her debut as a fashion designer in 2004 and went on to become one of the most iconic and popular designers of all time. This year marked the 10th anniversary of Griffin’s fashion line, Chloé Griffin Designs, which she launched with her then-partner, Nathaniel Riley. Their unique take on luxury fashions left a lasting imprint on our culture. We saw this year that nothing will ever be the same after Janet Jackson brought Chloé to her talent and skill set. The iconic Janet Jacksons were a fixture on our runway, and we felt privileged to even get a fraction of that magic. But more importantly, we got to see and feel that Chloe Griffin is a genius and a visionary, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Tom Hiddleston and Emily Whitment
Tom Hiddleston’s most recent movie, The Lay Off , marked the beginning of his re-emergence in theaters after a brief hiatus following the end of his marriage to Maggie Gandhi. However, the movie wasn’t all smiles and giggles, as we learned in that it’s been a tumultuous year for Hiddleston, who was at the center of a scandal when it was revealed that he had a romantic relationship with actress Emily Whitment. Whitment is an actor’s wife of 17 years, and they have three daughters. The romantic affair between Hiddleston and Whitment was denied by both sides, but it was enough to make it to the tipping point. Rumors of a split between the beautiful couple are believed to be untrue, and while they haven’t officially divorced, they do seem more clandestine in their approach to life together now. It’s been a tumultuous year for the actor, and we hope the next year is full of happiness and many more years of making movie magic.
