The world was shocked when it was revealed that one of the most popular Hollywood stars, Robert Pattinson, had cheated on his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, a co-star on the television series, The Twilight–Series. The affair with the much younger Canadian actress, Bella Hadid, was a steamy one, which was fully documented by the paparazzi. Rumours of a split between Pattinson and Stewart began to circulate before New Year’s Day this year, even prompting Stewart to comment: “I am not breaking up with Robert. I love him and always will.”
While the couple have yet to clarify the status of their relationship, they spent the last few months apart trying to work through their problems. In May, the Bella–Bellas spent an extensive amount of time together in Italy, travelling, eating, and shopping. This was followed by a trip to the United Kingdom in June where they reportedly held hands in public for the first time since their split. It would appear that the couple’s private life is gradually returning to normal and they are looking to rekindle their romance. Despite this, however, they have yet to address the numerous rumours of their reunion in any way, choosing instead to let their actions speak louder than words.
Pattinson has always been something of a religious studies student and he even wrote his thesis on the Harry Potter series. It would appear that his studies have paid off as he has been able to predict the future through the magic of Harry Potter. While the English aristocrat was unable to prevent the Dark Lord from threatening the world with an army of undead warriors, he was able to deduce that one day, Bella Hadid would fall in love with him.
His relationship with Stewart was an extremely stable one and it lasted for a whole two-and-a-half years before they decided to end it. Following their split, Pattinson began dating model and singer, Liya Kikuchi, who he eventually married. Their union produced a son, Lokin, who was born in October 2016. One of the last times the actor was seen with Kikuchi was at his son’s christening. Since then, he has kept a low profile and made no official appearances.
Although he has been in a committed relationship with Hadid since November 2017, the couple have maintained a public image of being friends. They attended Bella’s brother’s wedding in April this year but have otherwise kept a low profile. It would appear that they are still trying to navigate the minefield that is celebrity and have decided to do so privately. This has not stopped rumours circulating about a potential reunion. In February, Hadid was spotted wearing a pair of diamond studs that had been previously worn by Pattinson’s mother, Marjorie Merriweather Post. The studs had been a gift from Post to her daughter when she married Richard Burton. As we have established, Burton’s daughter is married to Pattinson and the three-ring circus appears to have recommenced.
Movies And TV Shows
The 28-year-old Australian actor’s film credits include Snow White and the Huntsman, Robin Hood, and Belle, as well as numerous supporting roles in television series. He has also lent his voice to a number of films, including Kung Fu Panda 2, Madagascar 3, and Arthur. Aside from his acting career, Pattinson also co-founded the production company, Base Productions, with his Snow White and the Huntsman co-star, Jesse Plemons.
In 2014, whilst promoting the then-upcoming Arthur movie, Pattinson was quizzed about the possibility of a Twilight reunion. He initially laughed off the suggestion, before joking that he would have to “go back and read the books”. A year later, however, he was more coy about a possible reunion, saying that “Who knows? Maybe one day. I’d love to play William, I think he’s an amazing character.”, referring to one of the leading men in the Twilight saga. Since then, he has remained tight-lipped about the subject. One of the last times we saw him in public was at the premiere of his latest movie, Goodbye Christopher Robin in October 2017. Since then, he has mostly kept a low profile.
Aside from acting, Pattinson is also a published author. He authored a cookbook, titled Rough Food, which is a collection of 50 recipes, many of which are inspired by his travels around the world. The book is accompanied by a photo-spread featuring the actor’s travels and his culinary experimentation.
Pattinson’s Early Life
Robert Pattinson was born in London on December 21st, 1985, to Marjorie Merriweather Post and her second husband, the Canadian financier and hotelier, Bruce Post. He has an older half-brother, Andrew, from his father’s first marriage to Peggy Guggenheim. When he was three-years-old, the family moved to the United Kingdom. Their ancestral home, Duncombe Park, is located in the North London suburb of Dennel, where the three-year-old Pattinson enjoyed riding his bike and sneaking into the nearby pub to watch films. The family then relocated to Sydney, Australia, in 1988, before eventually moving to Los Angeles, California, in 1991. In between living in London and Sydney, the actor made a name for himself on the big screen with appearances in The Golden Compass, A Town Like Guanhau, and several cameos in various other films.
Pattinson enjoyed an idyllic early life, which was somewhat spoiled by his parents’ extravagant lifestyle. His mother was an avid socialite and she and the family often spent time in London’s more prominent social circles. Her friends were often Hollywood celebrities and she often hosted lavish soirees at the family’s home in Holmby Hills. It was, however, the young actor’s rebellious nature that got him into trouble in the first place. He often clashed with his elder half-brother over his mother’s affections. In 2003, Andrew filed for divorce from his mother. Since then, he has had little to do with the family, except, perhaps, for the odd Christmas card or birthday gift.
Pattinson was educated at St. Andrews School and then, from 2004 to 2008, he attended the prestigious Millbrook School, a boarding school in New York. It was during this time that he began toying with the idea of becoming an actor. While at Millbrook School, he appeared in a number of productions, including a school play, as well as The Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller, in which he played the title character’s son. In addition to acting, he also dabbled in modelling, becoming the face of Lancome and J.M. WESTON, as well as appearing in numerous magazines and newspapers. He also had a brief stint as a DJ at an LA nightclub. Aside from acting and modelling, Pattinson also enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures. He has been to Africa and visited its greatest pyramids and breathtaking national parks.
A Rolling Stone
Pattinson first came to public attention as a rebellious, young star in the making. In 2005, aged just 17, he appeared in the music video for the song, Just Like Heaven by the English band, The Kaiser Chiefs. The video marked the beginning of a long-standing and often controversial association with the music industry as he appeared in numerous music videos, including those for the Black Eyed Peas, the Chemical Brothers, and Muse. He also starred in the video for Jay-Z’s song, Still Mine, which was shot partially in Prague and features lead vocals from Beyoncé.
It wasn’t long before rumours began to circulate that Pattinson was seeing yet another famous face. Rumours soon began to link him with the likes of Kate Winslet, Reese Witherspoon, and the late, great Grace Kelly. In 2007, he was spotted holding hands with Kelly’s great-granddaughter, Francesca. The following year, he was linked with British actress, Vanessa Redgrave, the mother of his godfather, Alex, who passed away in 2015. The rumours of a Redgrave sibling relationship even led to an interview with the media-shy star.
