It’s official: Robert Pattinson is now a husband. The Twilight actor married Scarlette Lindsey in a romantic ceremony on September 27 in Florence, Italy. The couple announced their engagement in March and were recently granted a license to wed in the U.S. The wedding was attended by family and close friends, as well as the paparazzi.
Scarlette, 28, is a jewelry designer whose company, SCARlettE.com, offers custom pieces made from white and yellow gold, as well as a wide range of gems. She previously worked at Harry Winston and has designed jewelry for some of the world’s best-known brands, including Bulgari and Piaget. She also has a successful line of her own and has been featured on the covers of Vogue and Vanity Fair.
Robert, 31, is the son of Colin and Emma Bawcombe. He began his acting career in 2007 after meeting with Jane Rosenthal, the cofounder of The Weinstein Company, at age 19. He followed in the footsteps of his actress mother and soon landed a role on the hit series, Trust. Besides his acting credits, Robert has dabbled in music, appearing in the music video for the Muse song, “Assassin.”
The couple’s nuptials were attended by several A-listers, including Tom Hanks, John Warner and Caroline Lagerberg. The event was chronicled by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue, who shared images from the ceremony on social media. “A fairy tale wedding for two. What a joy to watch them share their story with such simplicity and tenderness,” she wrote.

On Their Big Day
Scarlette described their wedding day as “perfection.” “It was everything we ever dreamed it could be,” she said. “We started off in the most beautiful church in Tuscany followed by a feast at a local restaurant. We then returned to the villa for a glorious dancefloor wedding party.”
The ceremony was followed by an intimate reception at the nearby Hotel Villa Borghese. The newlyweds kept the celebration relatively low-profile by choosing to have their brunch in the privacy of their hotel suite. It was here that the couple first held hands and discussed their future together. “I feel so blessed that I got to share this day with someone who I truly love and admire,” said Scarlette.
The celebration came to a close with a midnight limousine ride back to the villa for a wedding cake and some well-deserved champagne. “I do feel like I’ve found the person I’m meant to be with,” said Robert, “and I feel very fortunate that everything worked out the way it did.”
Scarlette added, “It really is a dream come true.”
The couple’s wedding photos were featured on several media platforms, including Vogue, Vanity Fair and OK! Magazine. They also released a video documenting the event. “We hope that this marks the beginning of a beautiful partnership between us and that our fans enjoy every moment of the beautiful day,” said Scarlette.
What’s Next?
While the marriage between Robert and Scarlette may be over, it certainly doesn’t mean that their professional relationship is. The pair plan to continue working together, both in the U.S. and abroad, and have already started designing jewelry for a new line of clothing, which they will release next year.
In addition to their designing projects, the newlyweds are also said to have an upcoming film project together. The untitled project is based on Scarlette’s bestselling 2013 memoir, I Would Die For You. The film is expected to star Gemma Arterton and Dan Fogler and is due out in theaters in 2018.
Following the movie’s premiere, Scarlette and Gemma will be taking part in a book tour in the U.S. In March 2018, the jewelry designer will be visiting Phoenix to discuss her career and answer questions from the audience.
Robert and Scarlette are both British and, as a result, will maintain strong ties to their homeland. However, the couple have already lived in London for several years now and are planning to make the English capital their permanent home. “We both love it over there,” said Scarlette. “We’ve been doing a lot of exploring and have found a beautiful apartment that we think is perfect for us.”
