Have you heard? Hollywood’s biggest heartthrob is ready to fall in love again! According to a recent report from Hollywood Life, the Twilight actor has picked up where he left off 14 years ago when he first courted fans with a passionate speech at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. It seems like Robert Pattinson has been spending a lot of time in the press lately. Whether it’s been gracing the covers of prestigious magazines or sharing stories about his passionate activism, the 37-year-old Brit is putting his best foot forward to let the world know he’s eager to begin a new chapter in his life.

Has Robert Pattinson Reunited With His Teen Self?

Many Twi-hards will be happy to hear that Robert Pattinson has reportedly reunited with his teenage self! According to Vanity Fair, the actor is set to star in a movie adaptation of David Lagercrantz’s best-selling novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The movie will be directed by Swedish filmmaker, Stellan Skarsgård and is set to be released in 2018.

While we await the trailer for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, allow us to reintroduce you to one of our most beloved characters from the Twilight universe:

Viktor: Vampire Hunter

When it comes to paranormal romance, few names draw as much attention as that of Viktor. He was the reluctant leader of the undead who reluctantly accepted his role as King of the Vampires, but he always swore that he would one day destroy all of his kind. After taking the throne and ruling over his kingdom with an iron fist, he grew lonely and abandoned his luxurious lifestyle. That is, until Bella Swan arrived on the scene. Since then, Viktor has been committed to her safety and well-being. He’s even gone so far as to relinquish his throne in order to protect her. Even though their love was never intended to be, the attraction was instant and, seven years later, Bella and Viktor are still inseparable.

This year will mark the 100th anniversary of the horror classic, Dracula. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the world’s biggest film studios have joined forces to create a cinematic classic that will be released in April 2018. While the press release for the film makes no mention of Robert Pattinson’s involvement, considering the actor’s penchant for playing characters with the characteristics of a vampire, it’s only a matter of time before he’s spotted prowling about in the shadows. The film will also be a great opportunity for Pattinson to showcase his dramatic skills, which he rarely gets the chance to do in comedies. He’s even been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as the titular vampire. New Moon: Wolf-Cubs in Trouble

Speaking of Oscars, the cast and crew of New Moon were incredibly proud to present an award to director and co-screenwriter, Jackson Pearce, at the 2017 BAFTA Awards. The thriller, which was released in 2009, picked up three awards at the ceremony, including one for Best Direction. It wasn’t the smoothest of transitions as, prior to winning the award for Best Direction, Pearce had to drop his pants and moonwalk across the stage. While we await the release of New Moon on Blu-ray and DVD, let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the movie:

In addition to the Best Direction prize, Jackson Pearce picked up the award for Best Writing. It was an amazing feat considering that the movie was originally written for the big screen by Mark Swift. At one point, he almost gave up on the project. After deciding to make the film in 4K, he realized that he couldn’t fit all of his footage on a single hard drive. In order to make sure that everyone, including himself, could watch the movie, he decided to upload it to the internet. The script supervisor, who was also the script coordinator, picked up the Best Sound award for his work on this project. The movie has a cult following because it was the first in a long line of paranormal romances that were inspired by Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. It also starred an early incarnation of the anti-bullying message that we all know and love:

“In our society, there’s always been this stigma against being different, against being colorful or creative or outspoken or passionate. Kids today can’t live up to the image of the perfect child that parents want. So they turn to social media to find the approval they crave, and it creates this huge generation of kids who are unhappy.” — Director, John B. Morris

Eclipse: A World Interrupted

Speaking of stigmas, let’s flash back to 1995, shall we? That’s when director and screenwriter, Bill Pullman, picked up his first Academy Award for Best Picture for writing the screenplay for the drama, Twister. In the film, which was based on a bestselling novel by Bill Williams, it was revealed that the reason why he had never married was because he was already married to Hollywood. While this may sound like an unlikely scenario, it actually happens quite often. To wit, actor, Robert Pattinson, has been dating his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart, since 2014 and they were married in an intimate celebration at London’s famous Langham Hotel on April 25, 2018.
