The nomination was well-deserved, as Robert Pattinson put in a powerful performance as the meek and gentle Lenny, who is determined to prove himself to his beloved owner, Alfred (played by John Malkovich). Robert Pattinson received rave reviews for his performance, and it was a memorable turn that garnered him a Best Supporting Actor nod—his first Oscar nomination since Twilight. Unfortunately, he did not win the award.
