Whether you’re a fan of his movies or not, every actor has a story behind their character and how they developed it, and Robert Pattinson is no different. Early Life And Family
Robert Pattinson was born on October 2,1986, in London, England. He is the son of Rusell, an interior designer, and Paul, who is an art gallery director. He has a younger brother, Benjamin, who is a photographer. Growing up in London, he attended St. Hugh’s College, then went on to work at a variety of different jobs, including selling shoes and bags, working for a newspaper, and even serving as a rent boy for a time. He began taking acting classes after being inspired by a friend, and quickly decided that this was the career for him. He was eventually signed to a record label after impressing the people who worked there with his acting skills.

Oscar Best Supporting Actor Nominee
While he may not have received a nomination for his acting, the Academy Award is a different story. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Lenny in the 2013 film, The Rover. The nomination was well-deserved, as Robert Pattinson put in a powerful performance as the meek and gentle Lenny, who is determined to prove himself to his beloved owner, Alfred (played by John Malkovich). Robert Pattinson received rave reviews for his performance, and it was a memorable turn that garnered him a Best Supporting Actor nod—his first Oscar nomination since Twilight. Unfortunately, he did not win the award.
Oscar Nominated For Three Features
There’s more to Robert Pattinson than just Edward Cullen and Lenny. He was also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for the 2014 film, The Bling Ring (which he co-wrote with Aaron Lefevre). The screenplay he and Lefevre co-wrote follow a group of friends as they navigate their way through the glitzy world of celebrity party planning during the final days of the millennium. The actors also garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for their roles as Dennis and Richard, respectively.
Most recently, he was nominated for Best Original Screenplay for the 2017 film, Tomorrow, which tells the story of a struggling writer who, after being inspired by a young girl’s drawings, creates a character based on himself and falls in love with that character. The movie is inspired by the works of British author and playwright, J. M. W. Turner, whose paintings are said to have influenced the look and feel of the movie.
Besides his career in film, Robert Pattinson has been working on other projects, including the short-lived series, Vicious, and the upcoming sci-fi series, Deep Space.
In addition to his film career, he has been busy working on musical projects as well. In 2016 he released his fourth album, Bad Blood, which was produced by the acclaimed Danger Mouse. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and spawned the Top 40 single, “Castle on the Hill.” He is currently working on his fifth album, which he plans to release this year. He also recently completed the soundtrack for the upcoming film, The King, which he starred in and co-produced. He wrote and performed the music for the movie, which was released in 2019.
