While we were initially skeptical about Robert Pattinson dating again, after reading several glowing reports about the latest romance, ‘The Batman’ star’s new girlfriend, FKA Twigs, we have to admit that we’re totally won over.

The couple began dating in the spring of 2018 just a few months after Pattinson split from longtime girlfriend, actress, Amber Heard. A source close to the couple tells Entertainment Tonight that they met at a dinner party in April and “hit it off right away.” It was then that Twigs decided to pour her heart out in a series of letters to Pattinson, which she followed up with a five-song EP that coincided with their first official date. According to the insider, the two have been inseparable ever since.

Pattinson, who is currently in Australia filming, revealed that he and Twigs are “loving life” and “having fun” in a recent Instagram post. “This is all very exciting,” he wrote. “I’ve never felt more alive, and I feel incredibly blessed to have this incredible woman in my life. She makes me so happy, and I can’t wait to share the rest of this journey with her.”

Pattinson had been single since splitting from Heard in the spring of 2018. While some had hoped he would find love again quickly, it appeared that Pattinson was taking his time. The star dated a series of women before reuniting with Twigs, who he had previously dated for about six months in 2013. Prior to their split, Twigs opened up about the actor in a 2016 interview.

“I feel like his happiness is one of the most important things for me,” she said. “I want to make sure that he’s happy and that he knows how much I care. I hope that he will feel confident enough to reach out to me if he needs someone to talk to or someone to confide in. I want him to feel comfortable enough to share all of his feelings, and for me to be there for him. That’s all I want.”

The two recently made their red carpet debut at the 2018 SAG Awards where they were lauded for their on-screen partnership.

“This year we saw an evolution in how Robert and I interacted on-screen — which made me really happy,” Twigs said at the time. “We began exploring different dynamics in our scenes together, which created a whole lot of new possibilities, and I’m really excited about what we’re going to do with this newfound freedom.”

The actress has since starred in two award-winning short films that premiered at the 2018 Venice Film Festival and 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. She also made headlines for penning an open letter to Robert Pattinson, dated August 21, 2018, in which she outlined a plan to prove their love to the world. The letter, which was published in The New York Times, begins: “I’ve carefully considered all of your arguments and I truly believe that being together would make you happiest. In the letter, Twigs goes on to describe a number of goals and plans that she and the ‘Twilight’ actor have in mind to take their relationship to the next level. Amongst these are buying a house together, having children, and growing old alongside each other.

“I want to be your wife,” the letter reads. “I want to be the woman you choose to share your life with. Your lover, your partner, and your best friend. I want to stand by you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse. I don’t want to stand by you because you’re famous, or because you’re a great actor. Why Is Robert Pattinson Dating FKA Twigs?

While we don’t know the exact reason for Robert Pattinson dating again, we do know that he had been through a rough patch. After splitting from Heard in 2018, the actor took a bit of a backseat in terms of his personal life, opting to focus on work instead. This, however, didn’t last long as the handsome British actor soon began to rack up a series of one-night stands that continued into the new year.

The two-time Oscar nominee, who was previously married to Winslet, began dating in April 2018, shortly after the breakup with Heard. While they have yet to reveal the source of their union, many have assumed that it’s a rekindling of their romance from their ill-fated 2013 collaboration, ‘Somersault.’

Pattinson was previously married to longtime girlfriend, Emily Blunt from 2011 to 2015. The couple, who have a children’s clothing company, announced their separation in May 2015, just a few months after the birth of their first child together. (Splash News)

FKA Twigs’ Letters To Robert Pattinson

In the months following their relationship announcement, fans of ‘The Twilight’ star began to receive letters from Twigs. The correspondence, which was initially posted on her social media accounts, was an extension of the singer/ songwriter’s masterful storytelling and keen eye for detail.

“I want to do this letter to you for two reasons,” the letter begins. “The first is that I care about you a lot and would like to keep you happy and comfortable. The second reason is that I want to give you a chance to read something that is difficult to find in people’s letters — my feelings.”

The letter, which was published in full by The New York Times in April 2019, touches on a number of subjects, including their evolving friendship, Twigs’ desire to make the actor happy, and her plans for the future.

In the letter, Twigs also discusses the difficulty of their friendship. “It’s not that I don’t want to be your friend anymore, because I do,” she writes. “The problem is that we live in two different worlds and I don’t want to risk hurting you.”

The actress goes on to explain that she is aware that being with Robert Pattinson could potentially put her in a compromising position. “I don’t want you to have to hide who you are from me,” she writes. “I want us to be completely open with each other. I want you to want to show me the best version of yourself.”

The letter ends on a hopeful note, with Twigs promising to work hard to prove to the world that she and Robert Pattinson are indeed a perfect match. “I will do everything in my power to make you happy,” she writes. “I know that you are a very intelligent and strong man, and I believe that together we can create a life that is beautiful and perfect.” (The New York Times)
