“The Tourist” actor Robert Pattinson has become one of the most famous men in the world, but his fame didn’t come without its share of anxiety. In the aftermath of his split from “Twilight” co-star Taylor Lautner, Pattinson struggled with depression and anxiety. While he has overcome his bouts of depression, he admits that his anxiety still lingers. But after finding success in Hollywood, Pattinson is no longer keeping his talents under wraps. While he usually keeps his social media interactions to a minimum, Pattinson decided to blow off some steam and share some of his hilarious and heartfelt thoughts on Twitter.
Over the course of several weeks, we’ve collected some of Pattinson’s most interesting and insightful tweets, and now, we’re presenting them to you for your reading pleasure. Take a look, and you’ll understand why so many fans were anxiously awaiting his next move.
The Costumer Is The Key
The first thing we noticed about Pattinson’s Twitter feed is how many fashion-related tweets he’s posted. Since he’s one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood today, most people will be curious about his favorite fashion brands and styles. While it’s not unusual for famous actors to gain a significant amount of followers on social media, we were still a little taken aback by how many fashion-related tweets he seemed to be posting regularly. So, we reached out to Pattinson’s team to get a better sense of his fashion preferences. Here’s what they had to say,
“I usually just follow whoever I’m working with or whoever puts out good ideas, and I just go with the flow,” he told us when we asked about his fashion influences. “I never really thought about it too much. But now that you brought it up, I guess I’ll have to try and think of some more. I always loved fashion, and I’m definitely influenced by it. Whether it’s high fashion or low fashion, I love all types.”
When we pressed him for more detail about his fashion preferences, he continued, “I just love fashion, and it seems like a lot of my fans share that passion, so I want to always keep my finger on the pulse of the fashion world. To be honest, I don’t really have any specific fashion influences. It’s more about being on the outside looking in, and just having fun with fashion.”
While we wouldn’t exactly put it past Pattinson to keep his style preferences secret, it seems that he’s at least opened up a bit about them on Twitter. At least, we have a better idea of what is appealing to him on the fashion front, and it doesn’t seem like he’s looking for anything too specific. He seems to love everything about fashion, and that makes him very accessible to fans who are looking for fashion advice or just want to say hi.
Pattinson On Self-Care
Pattinson doesn’t seem to shy away from addressing topics related to self-care, especially when it comes to the environment. While he usually only gets a few hundred words or less with regards to his work, he seems to have more than enough to say about self-care and sustainability. Here’s what he had to say about self-care and sustainability,
“I try to do my bit, reduce my footprint, and protect the environment as much as I can. It’s something I’ve been really passionate about for a while, and it’s really interested me how little I talk about it and how rarely I’m asked about it. But it’s something that affects us all, so I try and put it in as many headlines as I can. There’s so much we can do as individuals, but we need to stick together as a society if we’re going to make a difference.”

While it’s great to see a famous person speak out about these important issues, it’s a little disappointing that they seem to be addressing these topics mostly to promote themselves. As much as we all love to hear an A-lister’s take on climate change, it would be great to hear more from them about issues they feel passionate about that aren’t directly tied to their roles as an actor.
The Psychology Of Fame
Pattinson seems to be a very open person, which probably explains why he has more than 300,000 followers on Twitter. But despite his openness, he still has a fairly private side. He rarely gives specific details about his life, and he doesn’t seem to be one to gossip or troll. For someone who’s been in the public eye for as long as he has, you’d think he’d be used to people talking about him, but he still seems surprised by all the attention. Here’s what he had to say about fame,
“I always found it strange that people would choose to focus on my career rather than anything else in my life. I suppose I must come off as though society has defined me when in reality it’s just a small part of my life. I’ve never really given it a lot of thought, to be honest. I suppose I should be used to it now, but it’s something I’ll always have to work at keeping in perspective.”

Why We Love Famous People
In our line of work, we get to meet some incredible people from all over the world. Sometimes, we don’t even realize how much these people influence our everyday lives until long after we’ve left the interactions behind. Take Taylor Lautner, for example. He’s been in Hollywood for more than a decade, and he’s worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. But while he’s one of the most prolific tweeters we’ve ever seen, his Twitter presence still feels somewhat hidden. That’s probably because he takes his responsibilities as an actor incredibly seriously and doesn’t want to do or say anything that will hurt his career. Here’s what he had to say about fame in general:
“I think that people in general love to gossip, so it makes sense that they’d turn to Twitter to gossip about other people. But for me, I want people to focus on my work and what I’m doing, not what I said about someone else or what they said about me. I don’t want people to think that I’m just doing this for publicity. I want them to think that I genuinely love acting and want to do good work.”
While we respect Taylor Lautner’s approach to his career and his desire to maintain a personal life, it’s hard not to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of his tweets. Sometimes, we can’t help but wish he’d share more about himself and less about the latest celebrity scandal. Still, it’s great to see someone so incredibly grounded and realistic about their career goals.
Getting A Giggle Out Of Google
Now, let’s shift our attention to something a little lighter. As we mentioned earlier, Robert Pattinson is very open about his opinions on a variety of topics, including fashion and sustainability. But what do we know about him that isn’t directly connected to his work? We’re sure there are some funny stories, but until now, Google hasn’t recorded them. That is, until today. On January 7, Google celebrated the birthday of Queen Victoria by displaying the following Doodle on their homepage:
The computerized birthday card for Queen Victoria was initially displayed on the UK government’s website. But after Google launched a public campaign to have the card featured on Google’s homepage, the search giant obliged. On the day of Queen Victoria’s birthday, the card was featured prominently on Google’s homepage.
The only downside to this is that, in order to find the card, you have to be looking for something else. Otherwise, you won’t see the animated image of Queen Victoria wearing a tiara and pointing to a card that reads, “It’s my birthday. Why don’t you buy me a present?”
