Because of this, many fans and even casual observers may have wondered if Edward was in fact inspired by Kristen Stewart, particularly because of their shared passion for jazz music and classical music.
Classical music may have been a particular inspiration for the character, as Edward constantly plays music to help him grapple with his problems. He even plays the ‘Blue Danube’ Waltz, which is the same waltz that both Kristen and Robert danced to in the movie ‘Casablanca.’ In this interview with Elle, Robert said that he used to play that song for his mother when he was a child because it would make her happy. It is known that she has a very deep love for literature and has even cited several novels as being formative experiences in her life. One such novel is ‘Frankenstein,’ which is the source of Mary Shelley’s famous monster. In the novel, Dr. Frankenstein creates a man in his image, expelling all the evil within himself. The result of his efforts is a perfect man, whom he nicknames ‘Adam.’ Like Edward, Adam also has a passion for classical music and even delights in expressing his emotions through song. In another work of fiction, one of the main characters is haunted by the specter of a woman who committed suicide after their affair was discovered. This drives him insane, and he begins to see and hear things that aren’t there, leading to a complete mental breakdown.
When asked about these songs during an interview with Rolling Stone, Robert said that ‘you could see that [Edwards] was inspired by a lot of different things. There’s a lot of darkness in there, and that’s what makes it interesting.’ He added: ‘I don’t want to give too much away because it’s part of the story, but basically he’s a character that was inspired by a lot of different things.’
Did They Have A Secret Relationship?
Although the world may see these two high-profile stars as being just a celebrity couple and nothing more, there is a strong possibility that they had a deeper, more intimate relationship than most people know about.
