Now featuring true tone sound effects and dynamic wallpapers, iOS 7 is shaping up to be the biggest update to the mobile OS since its inception. Apple has also improved their software considerably and have packed in a boatload of new features. If you’re a fan of the iPhone, be sure to check out iOS 7 when it launches this fall.

New Features In OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Check out the new features in OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

While we await the release of the next-generation Macbook Pro with its Touch ID fingerprint scanner and Touch the Surface button, Apple have finally brought the Touch ID experience to the desktop. Packing in biometric security with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner allows you to log in to your Macbook, iPad or iPhone using your finger. The scanner also detects whether your finger is in front of the camera or not, so it can be a little more convenient when using an iPhone rather than a Macbook.

Other great new features in OS X 10.10 Yosemite include a new private photo browsing mode that keeps your photos private and doesn’t clutter up your device’s memory with backups, a unified inbox that lets you see all your messages in one place, and a revamped notifications system that makes it simpler to keep track of all your messages.

Futurama In Retrospect

Looking back at the amazing 10-year run of Futurama, it’s fascinating how the show predicted the rise of Android and iOS and how online communities such as Reddit have sprung up around the show.

Android and iOS certainly have their quirks, but they have given us access to an incredible amount of functionality which would have seemed impossible just a couple of years ago. The show’s writers, producers and architects must surely be cheered by the success of their work, and it’s clear that they’ve had a hand in shaping the way we use technology today.
