Dressing His Body Beautiful
I don’t know about you, but whenever I think of star Robert Pattinson, the first thing that comes to mind is his outstanding wardrobe. The Twilight actor has been dressing fabulous since he began his acting career in 2005 with an award-winning performance in The Gunsmith. Since then, he has been featured in a range of films, from period dramas to sci-fi thrillers, and generally seems to favour classic looks paired with bold colours. So from a soft French blue to a vibrant red, we take a look at some of his most stunning looks over the years.
Dressing For The Occasion
While it’s true that the clothes that Robert Pattinson chooses to wear often tend to be bold and vibrant, it’s also important to note that his style is more often than not dictated by the nature of the role that he’s playing. Take, for example, his portrayal of a wealthy French man in the 2013 film Dirty French, which saw him dress in elegant Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, and Christian Dior outfits. In order to play the part of a French aristocrat, Pattinson had to adhere to a certain code: he was not allowed to sport a tie or a pocket square, wear flip-flats, or to sport a hickie on his neck.
Accessorising
When it comes to the attire for men, accessories are just as important as the clothes themselves. As we’ve established, Pattinson is a fan of classic looks and luxurious fabrics, and this can be seen in the way that he dresses his body. One of the keys to his look, however, is his use of accessories. From a yellow watch on the sleeve of his suit in Cosmo Park, to a golden bracelet in Mudhoney, the actor is known to favour jewellery as a way of accentuating a look or completing a set. Although he mainly pulls this off with traditional pieces, such as gold or diamond studs, he has also been photographed wearing a range of costume jewellery, including diamond-studded neckties and brooches.
Colouring Schemes
When it comes to bold and vibrant colours, few actors live up to the standard set by Robert Pattinson. The British actor has been seen sporting some incredible hues, from a neon yellow Chanel suit to a striking burgundy dress. So it’s clear that when it comes to colour, the 47-year-old actor takes the fashion route more often than not. If you’ll recall, his character Alexei Vronsky sported an eye-catching yellow suit in the 2010 film Water for Elephants.
Shifting Suits
In the same way that he shifts his clothing, so too does he shift his accessories. When playing an aristocrat, Pattinson is seen frequently in Louis Vuitton and Dior outfits, and it’s clear that he feels most comfortable in these brands. However, don’t be surprised if you see the actor in a Burberry or a Gucci suit at some point during his career. It’s a look that he has favoured since his early acting days and one that he frequently turns to, whether for a night out or for a specific role.
So why do you suppose that Robert Pattinson dresses the way that he does? Is it some secret to becoming a style icon?
