Caitlin Cronenberg
While many were speculating that Caitlin and Ross were back together after they were photographed cozying up together at the 2013 Golden Globes, the actress has now insisted that they are not an item. As previously reported by us, the 32-year-old actress was recently spotted wearing a “Heartbreaker” costume during Halloween in Paris, leading many online to believe that she and her 38-year-old co-star were working their way back to each other. While both Caitlin and Ross have remained silent regarding their current relationship status, they were clearly caught on camera holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes during a break from filming the series last year. Unfortunately for fans, the couple’s hands-held relationship photo op turned out to be a publicity stunt for their film, as a representative for Caitlin later clarified that the two had actually been separated for the duration of filming.
Though no formal statement has been issued by the actress, she did recently post an Instagram photo of herself and Ross, along with the following caption: “#rpattinson #rpattinsonrelationship”. That being said, it seems that Caitlin might be open to rekindling her romance with the Twilight star. After all, Ross has been photographed with multiple females, including Kristen Stewart, during the last year (he’s currently linked to Stella McCartney and model Emily Brown).
Robert Pattinson
It took Robert Pattinson more than two years to end his engagement to Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, and even then he continued to keep the details of their split under wraps. The 26-year-old actor officially broke up with the former Miss America contestant in 2012, but he and Stewart were actually separated during most of 2011 and 2012. In fact, they have only been photographed together twice since their split — once during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, where they were both dressed as cartoon characters, and once at the 2014 Grammys, where they were seated together as patrons. While some have speculated that the two still have feelings for one another and are just choosing to keep their breakup private, Robert has maintained that they are just friends.
Nonetheless, in November 2014 it was reported that Robert had rekindled his romance with Stewart, and the two were even pictured together on Instagram. Of course, this was soon followed by reports that their romance was fake, and that they were, in fact, working through their issues. In late December, Stewart finally took to Instagram to refute the rumors that they had gotten back together, writing: “I want to be very clear about something. I have never and will never be involved with Robert Pattinson romantically or otherwise. I wish him all the best.” And so it goes…
Kristen Stewart
While many had hoped that Kristen and Robert would get back together after their brief romance and engagement, their relationship soured after less than a year. In August 2012, the 27-year-old actress filed for divorce from the actor after an extremely brief stint as a couple. Since then, they have hardly been seen together — and when they are, it’s only been for publicity stunts. The first such occasion was at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2013, when Stewart accompanied Robert on his first-ever book tour. Two months later, they were back on Instagram — this time posing together in front of a Christmas tree. That same month, Stewart also made headlines when she joined Robert at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where they were photographed holding hands. But since then, their public appearances have been sparse, and they have mainly remained in the shadows.
When Robert announced in July 2013 that he was going to be playing Adam in a major motion picture adaptation of the classic novel, Snow White and the Huntsman, much of the media speculated that this was perhaps an attempt to rehabilitate his image after his acrimonious split from Stewart. And while it was exciting to see the actor back in the public eye after years of being overshadowed by his Twilight co-stars, it was also curious that he would want to play the evil prince. Could this perhaps be a sign that he’s seeking redemption? Or is it just a smart business decision? Whatever the answer, it seems that we’ll never really know…
In any case, for those of you who were hoping that Kris and Rob would get back together, it would appear that their relationship is not meant to be. But in case you’re wondering, their professional relationship remains strong, as they continue to work together on screen.
