Zoe’s sister, Allegra, confirmed to People magazine that the couple are indeed an item. She said, “They’ve been dating for a while now. It’s a very happy relationship.”
Robert is a proud father, often posting adorable pictures of the children on social media. He also has a son, Rafferty, from his previous marriage to Camilla Campbell. While the couple are trying to keep their relationship private, they can’t stop the press from speculating about their romance. People magazine said in May 2017 that they’re “said to be enjoying a romantic interlude” while he was in London for the premiere of the latest Twilight film. In an interview with British GQ, the 38-year-old actor quipped, “[The rumors are] pretty fun to listen to. I think it’s great that people are interested.”
He added, “It’s not like I’m going to hide who I’m dating now from the public. I think that would be pretty boring… There will always be interest, I suppose. I don’t know if I’m attracted to the public, but I’m certainly interested in dating someone.”
He continued, “With children you want to make sure that they have all the right people around them to look after them. It’s not just about you. It’s about the quality of the relationship.”
Allegra said in the same interview, “There’s always been this other side to Zoe that I didn’t really know about. I think that family is really important to her and she’s trying to do the right thing by her dad and her brother [Rafferty]… The biggest misconception people have about Zoe is that she’s just partying all the time. That’s not the case at all. She’s a really good daughter.”
Romantic Weekend
On Saturday, September 9, 2017, Robert and Zoe were spotted holding hands as they entered the Ritz Carlton Hotel in London for the Baftas. They were joined by Allegra and Allegra’s husband, Michael, with their children, Allegro and Artemis. Robert was dressed in a black suit and white dress shirt with the collar turned up, while Zoe was dressed in a white suit with a red rose in her buttonhole. Their rep said that they’re “really proud” of Zoe and that the outfit is “a true reflection of her.”
The following day, the couple were spotted leaving the Dorchester Hotel after a romantic dinner. The hotel tweeted: “Penny pinchers rejoice! Due to popular demand, we’ve had to increase the size of our Room Supplies team! If you or someone you know is looking for an assistant to help with room service, please contact the hotel directly.”
Zoe and Robert’s rep said in a statement, “They are always looking for ways to make their guests happy…[They want to provide] an exceptional experience to each and every one of their patrons. This includes making sure their staff are well trained and ready to provide the best possible service and that their rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities.”
Keeping Score
Though it seems like Zoe and Robert are trying to keep their relationship under wraps, they can’t help but keep score. The pair have been spotted in public with other people. In May 2017, they were seen dining at ‘21′ with Camilla. The following month, they were seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, sitting together while their children played. There, they were joined by Robert’s mother, Elizabeth. The actress, who passed away in January, had been traveling with her grandchild for his upcoming performances. In June 2017, they were seen walking together in Beverly Hills. Later that year, they were seen in Mexico City in a photo with designer Valentino.
