Three Hollywood stars whose personal lives have been splashed over the media in the past year:

Andrew Garfield, Robert Pattinson and Charlie Cox, three Hollywood stars whose personal lives have been splashed over the media in the past year. The British actor, Charlie Cox, has been the centre of attention ever since breaking his leg playing baseball in what was widely reported to be a motorcycle accident. However, as revealed in a recent interview with Variety, the 28-year-old actor has been experiencing a career surge, with acclaimed roles in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the award-winning series, The Defenders.

The Rise Of Cox

The 5’10” actor, who currently plays Daredevil on Netflix, first broke into movies at the age of 14, when he played a supporting role in 2007’s Quantum of Solace. Since then he has gone on to feature in such high-profile films as Deadpool and this year’s Dark Phoenix, the latter of which he also co-produced. In addition to his ever-expanding filmography, Cox has also starred on television in shows such as The Following and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Richer Than Ever

Garfield, 35, was the face of Arpels Jewellery in the early 2000s, before stepping into the spotlight as the central character in the 2012 blockbuster, The Amazing Spider-Man. Since then he has gone on to feature in big-budget action movies such as the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story and the Avengers sequel, Infinity War, both of which he is co-producing. He is also best known for his portrayal of the eponymous character in the hit series, The Walking Dead, for which he has won multiple awards.

Boosting His Career

The British actor, who also plays an important role in the upcoming film, A Dog’s Purpose, said: “The only thing you need is opportunities. To be able to do the things you love, to be able to continue acting and to do justice to the characters you play – those are the things that matter. “If you find that you are not given those opportunities, you need to look for them yourself and not wait for someone to give them to you. If you want to be the best, you have to put in the work to be the best and that is what I am doing.”

The Growing Popularity Of Pattinson

The English actor, 32, rose to fame after playing a leading role in the 2011 cult film, The Hunger Games. The popularisation of Pattinson’s image was further reinforced when he was featured on the cover of magazines around the world in the wake of the success of The Hunger Games. In addition to his filmography, he has also starred in several prominent TV series, including The Walking Dead and Prisoners. The actor is also an activist, supporting numerous charitable causes around the world. In 2018 he launched a line of vegan shoes aimed at protecting animals.

Proud To Be Different

Cox, who is also a vegan, said: “It is important to be proud of the choices you make and be happy with the person you are becoming. Choosing to be vegan is something I am extremely proud of and I want to make sure other people know about it too. Choosing not to participate in certain activities because they are cruel or unjust is something we should all be proud of.”

Three Of A Kind

The three celebrity friends have been in the limelight due to their exceptional physical appearances. In an interview with the New York Post, Cox revealed that he, Garfield and Pattinson were actually quite close growing up. He explained: “We’re best friends. We grew up together… We went to the same high school for a while and hung out a lot. We had this unspoken bond growing up. When we finally decided to do this interview, we realised how much we had missed out on due to TV and film schedules. We’ve hung out a few times since then and it’s really nice to see how our kids have turned out.”

And what of the future of these three young celebrities? Cox said: “It is so funny because we never expected that a year ago we’d be sitting here talking about the future. We never thought we’d be in this position. It feels so surreal.”

Garfield explained that he is currently in talks about a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, due out in 2022. He said: “We are just wrapping up filming now and are really excited about what we have made … There were so many fun and interesting things for us to explore, and we want to have more Spidey adventures! We are also really proud to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and thank the fans for waiting so long for this year’s Spider-Man. We hope we have brought the character closer to his roots and made him more engaging for new and old audiences alike.”

Pattinson also acknowledged the success of Spider-Man, saying: “I think people are really responding to the character. We didn’t really set out to make a sequel, but after the amazing reception to the first film, it just made sense to continue that storyline.”

Cox expressed his excitement about being a part of the upcoming Avengers sequel, Infinity War, due out later this year. He said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of Avengers: Infinity War. I have been a huge fan of theirs [the cast and crew] ever since I saw them at Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con International. “It will be amazing to see how much they have all grown and changed since the first movie and it’s such a thrill to be a part of that.”
