As you may have already heard, George Clooney is heading up a telethon on Jan. 22 to raise disaster relief funds for the Caribbean nation.
Pattinson, I’m told, is on the top of everyone’s list to take part in what will likely be an A-list effort…
Organizers, a source reveals, are aiming high and will be asking for Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to take part.
wow, that’s great, i think its already time Rob have to use his fame to help other people. i know he has a big heart…

Charity and donations in times of disasters such as in Haiti are based on giving the people of the world a chance to donate and give of their time, money and love. For anyone to specifically ASK of the most popular people of the time to help out I think is rather presumptuous. Charity is based on what is in your heart, not because you are specifically and publicly called forth to help because of your popularity.
For goodness sake don’t be so ignorant.. if celebrities can do something useful with their time and money for desperate causes then they bloody well should. It might be that some celebs don’t know how to help so being asked to participate in something specific cuts out the middle man.. … they can do so much more than many of us and in times of crisis by raising awareness.. I take my hat off to those who can and do help.. publicity stunt or not there are thousands upon thousands suffering and if a handful of popular celebrities can help raise further awareness and have their own fan base follow suit by helping anyway they can.. all the better…

Once again Kizzie you said it!!! I was so happy to hear that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donated $1M right away. They knew the urgency and they knew by stepping up their fellow celebrities would hear the cry. Your right, sometimes people are caught in their work and lives and don’t know how to help. So thank you George and anyone else who has the money, the connections and the resources to get the help to these poor people–my heart aches for them right now and it is not just because George Clooney might be call Robert or anyone else to help!!
My prayers and donations are there already and will continue–they need EVERYONE!!
In case you think I am a heartless B___H, I have already donated as well. Whether celebrity or just plain folk like myself who are watching their budget, the choice should be each persons individually.
I don’t need stupid celebrities such George Clooney to remind me to donate… He must be pay and shut up.
No-one said you were a heartless anything.. and yes you are right that charity is absolutely a personal choice.. but to say it is presumptuous to ask celebrities to offer their service and popularity to draw attention to such causes is ridiculous.. Celebrities can do so much without even putting their hands in their pockets.. and I am glad that celebs like George etc do draw attention to these causes.. regardless of the media machine for themselves… it’s good to know they give back..and don’t just sit on their laurels enjoying their massive pay checks..

@Naoko, Gabrielle and Bella’s dream. I don’t think this is the place to post derogative remarks about any celebrity trying to help out Haiti. I doubt if you all were in the same situation, you would be complaining about who’s helping you out. Help is help and it is needed. If someone that has the ability to reach a wider audience is asked to participate in a worthy cause, especially of this magnitude, then they should. The last time I checked, we are blogging on a website for a young man that works in films. Like you lead more honorable lives……..Please

I think I am beginning to understand more and more why Robert hides from some of his fans and has fears of being stabbed, after some ridiculous stuff I have read on here it is no wonder!!!
Here is another option for all of you that don’t agree with the telethon or whatever media to get the word out that the Haitians need all of our help. Contact the Red Cross TODAY and make a donation!!! Then Thank God your here and not there!!!!

If anything.. celebrities should be doing MORE.. bring attention the service men and women who are fighting right at this minute, coming home in body bags, coming home with limbs missing and having to share the same helicopter ride home with their buddy lying in a body bag in the stretcher next to them… bring attention to the veterans on the streets who’ve fought for their country but their country won’t take care of them now.. bring attention to the rising drugs and alcohol problems… and all the diseases we rarely hear about…… bring attention to anything where help can be given…
and keep doing it.. regardless of award season or not.. the greatest award is the satisfaction that you can go to bed at night knowing you’ve made a difference by doing everything in your power to help..
so George Clooney.. call Rob Pattinson.. and whomever else you can get your mitts on and make a difference.. because there are some people with their heads so far shoved up their own arses they can’t tell the difference between what’s important in life and their own shit..
