Robert Pattinson Claims He’s Single
Despite the rumored romance with ‘Twilight’ co star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson is still claiming to be single.
The 23 year old ‘New Moon’ hunk says in a new interview with Italian Vanity Fair magazine that just about everything written about his personal life isn’t true.
“I am single… almost everything that came out about my private life is false.”
So why the false rumors then? Robert Pattinson thinks it could be because there is simply isn’t anything else to talk about.
“I think it happens because, really, there is not much to say about what I’m doing,” Pattinson said. “While I am filming, I live practically [like a] recluse in [a] hotel. I come out only to work, and sometimes to go out for dinner. But, if you read the magazines, it seems that I have a frantic high life.”
The hot young Brit can been seen in the second installment of the ‘Twilight Saga, New Moon’ in theaters now, and also is ‘Remember Me’ which hits theaters in March 2010.

Well I dont know if he and Kristen are together or not. I just find it odd that if they arent, why be so secretive about it. To the point of cutting interveiwers off and telling them no personal questions. Its just seems to me that if you really werent together and you wanted the press to stop constantly hounding you about it you would just say youre not together and stop all the speculation. Either theyre together and dont want to admit it or theyre not together and they like the attention they get by not saying they arent.
Honestly I think any interviews popping up now with an answer to the question like this one are either false or old because they have been refusingto answer the question for a while now and I dont think Rob would just throw it out there like that at this point.
when did he do this interview? I mean in which month?I think it’s important also.
The only answer anyone is ever going to believe is ‘We are dating”.. but even then some will think it is sarcasm. Rob can swear on the bible that he is single and people will still not believe him. Nothing they can say will stop the papz poking into their lives. Regardless of if they are or aren’t.. If they are together then the paps will want MORE details.. if they aren’t together then the paps are going to want to prove they are (as they have been)..
I think staying quiet about it is all they can do. I just don’t think they realise that people won’t stop asking them.. just as Rob thought after the Twilight premiere that everything would ‘die down again and go back to normal’.. it won’t!.. not for a long time after Breaking Dawn comes out..

The point Rob and Kristen are trying to make is… it wouldn’t matter what answer they give the public, they would not be left alone anyway. So why should they give an answer to something private about them anyway? They will still be hounded with personal questions, and no will believe them anyway, Kristen said once in an interview, “why don’t I just promise my first born too”. They are two young actors who have their whole life ahead of them, they have been caught up in this whirlwind and if they cling close to each other, well why wouldn’t they??
Anyway, just my 2 cents.

That interview with Rob was a series of old interviews. Even bits from the Cannes film festival. Gossip cop said it was old news. Some 7 months old. We still don’t know for sure about Rob & Kristen, but I think yes.
This interviews was back in MAY when he was in Cannes…..

Why do they keep asking this question? I think this interview is a combination of old quotes, but I for one want to know about this new movie. I don’t care if he has a girlfriend. It isn’t me, and I don’t care.
Lainey says on her site that Rob & Kristen are very happy & in love lockdown. That would explain it. Spending time together, ALONE.

I would say Rob is on ROB LOCKDOWN… nothing more.. I can’t imagine he has done more than eat and sleep since the premiere.. good for him… he has a hell of a year ahead of him again!… Sleep while you can I say!

I thought if you were not married, then you were single. Well, Rob is not married, so that him single, so he is just telling the truth. Rob and Uma………ugh, no way, he will just be doing acting with her, nothing else.
Whouldn’t that be a hoot, Robert and Uma. I don’t see him going that route, but man, it will surely cause more of a stir, then Kristen and Robert. I am sure Uma could teach him a few things.

They did not stay in a hotel together, they stayed near each other. They did not hold hands, she touched his wrist, his had a hat, they did not kiss, their heads were close at a concert.
He is not gay….he has someone already but knew it was good for his career to look single. They are not together. They are buddies, they hang when filming, the go to concerts and enjoy each others company. Kristen was reported early on to have a crush on him doing Twilight. It was obvious. He thought she was taken and is slow to get serious. He dated Anna Kendrick a bit (pics on You Tube). Kristen did not want to dump Michael until she was sure Rob wanted her. Michael was just a cover anyway as Kristen was seen kissing and holding hands with Nikki repeatedly around the fall. Rob started seeing more of Camilla Belle and knew her since 2007 but not serious as he was not in the states much. Kristen threw herself at him. Rob resisted as he said he is platonic friends with her on Access Hollywood 4/09. He forgot her birthday on New Moon set..and is on dvd shaking her hand. Kristen was not at his surprised party thrown by cast in Italy.

They hide it because he has someone and Kristen changed after she did Runaways and met lesbian Joan Jett’s friends. Kristen is way too tough and nasty in most interviews. She dresses in her private life like a butch girl. She curses like a sailor. She gives off hostility and attitude. Once she came out she started spending more time with Rob as they are close. Every time you see her this past summer, she looks shattered and so beat. She is not a girl in love. She looks like a girl who was told thanks, but it’s too late.
