LOL, of course she has good skin. It’s called professional stage makeup. It works wonders! You’ve got no flaws with it. The camera hates flaws, the makeup removes them! Movie magic for the cameras.
That picture is adorable- but I have an excruciatingly difficult time imagining KS smiling, in between two guys. She has repeatedly said, she’s not this sweet, femminine girl, who can smile for the cameras on cue, she’s “got to be herself” (whatever that means). I know this is a “Bella torn between Edward & Jacob” shot, but KS has not projected this image in public. And all I see when I look at her is snarling, miserable Kristen- not Bella, in love. But, that’s my problem, not hers.
Notice how when they put her in positions and settings for photo shoots that make her seem like Bella…….we like her. When she’s just being herself……not so much.
Actually yesterday I was trying to verify the story that Time has on Catherine Hardwicke basically ‘outing’ Kristen and Rob’s relationship. In my search I came across a story about Kristen smoking pot on her doorstep in LA, last year and I also came across her interview with David Letterman from last year. Let’s just say that both of these pictures really put it in perspective for me that these actors are just kids–including Rob. They are NOT role models!
I have been kinda disappointed in a few of Rob’s interviews too–he almost sounds like he can’t imagine why we fans like Twilight and them–like we are almost crazy because we do–not normal.

Sue.. my opinion of Rob’s answers in interviews is his humble and self deprecating attitude In his head. he is this dorky, thin, musician/actor, with awful personal hygiene habits and a face that looks like he has had burns (his words not mine I think he’s gorgeous).. and he is being idolised like his idols (James Dean etc) … and it has all be overnight.. he knows the allure of the books and of Edward and Bella’s relationship but he can’t see why HE is so attractive to the masses..
and THAT is why we all adore him.. he IS humble and just so refreshing in the world of the fake and manufactured… just my opinion.. I don’t think he is being offensive ..I just think he’s bewildered by it all..
As for role models.. whether we like it or not.. there are young impressionable minds out there that will put these actors up on a pedestal.. whether their parents advise them otherwise or not.. There are young girls obsessed with Rob and Taylor and to feel close to them they will emulate the one girl they know is closest … Kristen… it isn’t rocket science.. this has been going for decades..
Thanks Kizzie…your right and this TwiMom has used Kristen and Bella and Edwards relationship as a great teachable moments with my daughter. I guess as Mom and a fan of these kids, I have sometimes forgot that are that young kids and they too are bound to make mistakes.
Thank you for reminding me though, of why I do like Rob–he is humble and I know that is why I have been interested in him–even though I am old enough to be his Mom. It is refreshing to see someone like that today. I am also impressed with how polished and mature Taylor Lautner is. I understand where Kristen is coming from, but I don’t think I would like my DD to be friends with someone like her–she seems very self indulgent and some of her interviews she appears sooo immature. Taylor seems so much mature than she–I think that is why I have such a hard time imagining Rob really liking her for more than a good friend.

@suefromnc, I understand your feelings about Kristen, I have a hard time understanding her. Life’s too short to be miserable, just because. I don’t have a hard time seeing she and Robert together, but I do not see it lasting, I may be wrong. I think they look at life in the same way now, but being around a negative person takes a tole on you. I was like Kristen, I use to have a very bad attitude, someone actually confronted me, and I couldn’t come up with a good reason for me to be misrable. I realized I was emulating the person that was in my life, He was always unhappy. Once I distanced myself from him, I started to look forward to the simple things in my life, and started to realize I was in a better situation then most people. Negative people are like a cancer. They tend to take the joy out of life.

Shes being herself, and so is Rob. As for Taylor and Ashlee f.i., their attitude annoys me like hell. Taylor is just trying to be all sweet and adorable, keeps thanking the fans and talking about how he got more muscle for New Moon. Yeah hes young but there could be more brains in there. Seriously… isnt there more to say about the the Twi phenomenon and the 2nd installment? Ashley loves to “walk her beauty” and keeps going to events where she shows off and poses for cameras. Another hollywood airhead.
I think Kristen and Rob are more down to earth and faithfull to who they were before this madness.

@Sue…..well your question was about being role models. I don’t think Rob or Kristen imagine themselves as any kind of role model. Rob is older and he’s probably pretty grateful about now that he was NOT famous for his late teens and earlier twenties. He drank, he smokes, and God only know what else. He has said that he didn’t want Twilight to be a teen thing and he never wanted to be some kind of “teen” idol. But he sees that it’s happened anyway. I’m not sure if he’s withholding from his wild ways or not. If he’s keeping it to his room or he’s outgrown it, or he’s just too busy working. Kristen seems to be at that “f**” you stage in her life and she’s exploring. If she were a normal kid she’d be in college now, doing all the crazy things people do when they feel that first rush of being grown and away from parents. Most of us have the luxury of making our mistakes without the world watching. No one really cares if you get too drunk at a party and wake up with a stranger. I don’t know why our expectations are so high that celebrity kids aren’t going to make mistakes too. I’ve decided that I resent the whole Disney franchise and their lies. The way they take kids like Britney, and Christina and SELL us this wholesome image and then slander them all to pieces when they expose the REAL people. I think that lie is more harmful than the truth. Everyone is a little bit bad, you are going to make mistakes, and life is not some highway made of ivory snow purity. Just try to keep your head above water, don’t hurt people on purpose, and if there’s a kindness you can do each day, then do it.
@Ana, I think there is some confussion on what is means to be true to yourself. You treat people how you want to be treated. If Taylor chooses to be happy let him, if Kristen chooses to be unhappy , let her. I don’t hate anyone, Just because Kristen is not everyone’s favorite person, it shouldn’t bother you. I know a few people that don’t like Robert, that doesn’t effect how I feel about him. As for Taylor bragging about how he gained 30lbs of muscle. Have you ever tried leaning out to change your body, and I don’t mean starving yourself. I have trained to compete in a body figure competition before and it is more mental strength then it is physical. You have to resist everything that everyone else enjoys and eat healthy for several months and dedicate yourself to training. That means waking up everyday at the same time going to the gym, maybe going twice a day. Until you have tried it, don’t just brush it aside. He’s 17, and busted his butt for a part he wanted, very few people have that dedication. I have to give him credit for doing it at his age. Plus he has to maintian his figure until the final film.
And by the way, I don’t think having manners, is a bad thing. Especially if your a young man. That means his parent’s taught him well. Being rude gets old and people tend not want to deal with you.

yeeppppp that is so me . . . jealous so wish i was her! but im on team edward as i have read all the books because jacob can be a bloody big pain in the arse who else agees? most of my friends that have read the book say team edward coz jacob is just weird in Breaking Dawn and Eclispe and he gets in the way of bella and edward its so unfair but i still wish iwas kristen stewert coz i lloooooovvvvve robert and taylor is kinda fit!

@ Merci. Im glad Taylor worked out and gained muscle, i wouldnt want anyone else taking his role as Jacob. And yes, it shows how commited to something he can be and how much self control he must have. But theres a lot more to talk about than the muscle thing. Jacob goes through a huge transformation in New Moon. Becoming a werewolf and being part of the pack which he first thought was a bad gang… his feelings for Bella becoming more intense and wanting to tell her about his transformation and not being allowed to… Theres a whole psychological side to Jacob he could talk about but hed rather talk about his physical preparation for the role (though some of it might be the interviewers fault since they keep asking him about his muscles).
I never said having manners is a bad thing, in fact i hate rude people who act as if others dont matter or exist at all. Not smiling all the time isnt considered rudeness and ass kissing isnt manners to me . Imho Taylor is trying too hard to please everyone, he doesnt strike me as genuine. Of course theyre grateful to the fans, each one of the Twi team has thanked them, just not the million times Tay has. Hes not natural. I liked him a lot before i started watching his interviews and award winning speeches.
Anyway, Im just glad there are some actors who dont get hollywood dazzled.
