Robert Pattinson ... Who?

Robert Pattinson was surprised to learn that his newest admirer is none other than Scarlett Johansson’s hubby Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan - who is currently starring alongside Kristen Thomas in Adventureland - recently confessed to finding the Twilight star “dreamy”.

When informed that Ryan is his biggest fan Rob responded, “Really?” before going onto joke that he finds Ryan just as irresistible, well, as an actor that is.

When asked by Movie Fone who he would like to work with, Rob replied “Ryan Reynolds!”, before adding: “I’ve always wanted to work with Benicio Del Toro, I think he’s amazing. And there are tons and tons of people…”

Lainey Gossip continues her love affair with Rob and Nikki…

Shortly after she took off for Rob’s place. Later that night (Sunday) they met up with friends, then ended up at one of the label parties after the Junos with Kristen Stewart and her boyfriend Michael Angarano. Am told Rob and Nikki spent much of the time talking to each other, heads bent close together.

My sources tell me exclusively that at the end of the evening, or early morning depending how you see it, the four of them left the event, hugged before parting ways (a weird 4-way group hug), Kristen and Michael hopped in a cab, and Nikki and Rob walked further up the block… arms wrapped around each other on their way home.

She stayed with him overnight, was supposed to be back in LA on Monday….

But never showed.

Perhaps she couldn’t get up, or perhaps she couldn’t leave? Cute, right?

She makes him cute. It’s his best quality, being attracted to Nikki Reed. Robert Pattinson has good taste.

Robert Pattinson was supposed to present at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. Instead, Twilight was represented by Taylor Lautner. They are trying their best to make him a star. To give Pattinson a challenge, if this is possible. Twi-hard losers seem pretty keen on the Open Mouthed One. More on him later. For now, let’s help with Taylor’s cause. As for Rob, well, having bailed on the fangirls and the screaming, he was free to enjoy Juno Fest on Saturday and I’m told he enjoyed a low key chill night at one of the afterparties, At least he tried. Am told RP was approached repeatedly, some girls doing the usual super loser twi-hard gushy flappy arms thing and others trying to front like they were too cool to obsess over a movie hunk and starting up a conversation with him anyway, because he can totally tell between super loser twi-hard hysterics and closet super loser twi-hard hysterics. It’s a huge difference.

Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart was joined by her BF Michael Angarano and her BFF Nikki Reed on Sunday. Here they are coming from late lunch. Interestingly enough, a short while after their meal, Nikki was spotted heading over to Rob’s. She stayed at his place a few hours, then they went out and hooked up with some friends…

Translation of Robert Pattinson’s Interview for Glamour Spain - the best part is the end when he talks about love!!!

They say this British guy started to work in the industry because he wanted to meet girls. What he didn’t know is that his life was going to change forever once he got cast as the teenage vampire Edward Cullen, heroe to millions of teenagers thanks to the famous Twilgiht saga written by Stephenie Meyer. We’re in the city of Los Angeles and we speak with this peculiar actor that will become our Salvador Dali very soon.

Does Twilight remind you of your real life and high school, when two people are attracted to each other with such energy?
Yes, although I had really bad luck with girls, the ones I liked hated me and the ones that liked me were not my type. But that’s something that I still go through, I like girls that I shouldn’t like. But I’m learning and now I take my time before I let the girl know.

Do you believe in obsessive love?
Yes, but only from a girl’s point of view. I don’t think men are like that. Not many men read Stephenie Meyer books anyway.

You’re right. That’s what I was going to ask you. Do you believe this story was tailor made for young girls?
Yes, it’s so weird and funny. Afte reading the books I’ve been asking myself why do women act like that, why do they behave like that, especially younger girls. They turn into freaks when it comes to boys. I like nomal girls who don’t pretend to be anything else.

Would you like to live forever?
No, although it does have its advantages.

Do you understand the attraction and mystery around vampires?
I’ve never been insterested in vampires, although I understand why they’re so appealing to some people.

How are you handling being the new It Boy, being in so many covers of magazines now all over the world?
I don’t mind, my character is so good and he deserves to be admired. From the moment I signed up for this I knew what I was getting myself into. Edward is a vampire, he’s not a hero like Superman, he’s a vampire in love who wants to be normal.

It took him 90 years for him to find love. Do you believe in love at first sight?
That’s so boring! I think we all have the right to fall in love several times. The conventional idea of love, the idea of being with somebody for the rest of your life and love her forever sounds so silly to me, and so unrealistic. I think you can love ten people at the same time (laughs).

What are your biggest passions?
I’m boring. I like reading, watching movies and playing the piano.

People say you’ll leave Orlando Bloom without work pretty soon…
I don’t think this will happen to me. I don’t want to lose control of my life, I don’t care how much money I’m offered. Well, I’m kidding, actually. Because if I had massive ammounts of money and success, I’d still reach for the same goals and I’d be able to hide better. (TwilightPoison note: his answer sounds very strange, we think he missunderstood the question, or the interviewer’s question was not formulated properly, because it sounds like he thought the interviewer was saying that he’d be the next Orlando Bloom and not find a job after having so much success, not that he would leave Orlando with no other roles. Oh Rob… it was probably not your fault lol.)

What would you be capable of doing for love?
I don’t know, climb a mountain?

Would it scare you to fall in love like the characters in Twilight?
Yes, because it’s an obsessive love, a sick love. When you fall in love and you lose yourself like that. Imagine falling in love like that!

Do you get hit on by difficult women?
I’m crazy about independent women who don’t require too much attention.

Have you ever used the phrase “I’m an actor” as a pick up line?
Not, that phrase doesn’t wok here in LA - everybody is an actor here.

Are you planning on going to college?
Yes, but I’m planning on taking it slowly, probably when I’m 28. As an actor you have to take advantage of the opportunities you get and not letting them pass by.

How did you feel at 17?
I felt incredibly awkward all the time. I’ve always been a very edgy person, especially in those years that I didn’t find my place, everything scared me. I just started reading again my journals from when I was 17….

Do you talk about love in them?
Actually, no. I’ve only been attracted to two women in my whole life.

Do you remember the first time you loved someone?
Yes. It’s weird to enjoy your first love, especially if the relationship lasts a long time. Our relationship was really beautiful, but we didn’t have an obsessive love like in the movie. Her presence in my life made me very happy for three years. Now it’s kind of hard to talk about it.

Tell me about that hair…
I always have weird hair: Harry Potter, this one and Dali.

A fan encounter in Vancouver. Probably exactly what I would do!!

Ever heard of Robert Pattinson, Nikki Reed, Sam Bradley???

Walking down a street, looking for a cool place to hang and have a beer… As I’m walkin, I pass in front of a terrasse of a nice ”trendy” restaurant. My eyes caught the face of someone reminding me of a singer I have just discovered. It’s HIM!!! next to the ”lookalike” is the boy with the hat. Next to the one with the hat, in front of the ”lookalike” is the girl without the wig. OK, this is too good to be true. I look at Penny and stop walking. Take another look, my own little voice is screaming inside. It cant be true… My head turns back one more time. The boy with the hat is looking at me; he knows I recognized him. He’s trying to hide in his jacket… I get the message that he’d rather like go unnoticed… So I decide to keep going on my mission for a place to hang out. In the meantime, a few calls to my friends who are gonna kill me if I dont go back… What should I do, what should I say?

After 15 minutes of walking around, Penny’s got a txt message sayin we should go to a certain bar… We turn around and walk toward some pub. I HAVE to pass by again. As I’m walking passed the restaurant, there’s 3 girls (I beleive a mom and daughters, but honnestly I was so in shock I dont remember…) were talking to them and took a picture. Ok, so, if I dont do this now, I wont get another chance. I’m getting to the table and apologize (so many times, I probably looked like a total idiot) for disturbing their night, chatted for a couple of minutes, about Sam’s music and their time in Vancouver. Penny got to take a picture of Rob, Nikki and I(after several try, battery was dying, flash was off…). I have never felt so stupid (I aint natural blond!!! lol) in my life but hey, who cares? I most probably wont run into them again and if I do, then I wont be in shock state of shock!

Hello my new friends - I have a story for you. One of those good stories that you smile about and remember. Also one of those stories that seems so perfect, you think there had to be some cosmic force at work!

About a week ago I was waiting in an airport in Seattle to head to Austin, Texas for SXSW - one of the biggest music festivals in the world! Of course, I was excited for the warm weather, for the sunshine, and most of all to be inspired by the thousands of musicians there to share their passion.
As I was waiting for my flight, I walked past a book stand. There it was, “Twilight”. The anti-pop culture part of me thought, “No way” but curiousity won this time. I thought it would be a good way to kill time on my 14 hour commute. It ended up being the perfect escape. I madly flipped through the sexy pages feeling slightly awkward for the plane passangers beside me. I of course was drawn to the character of Edward. His desire to protect. His desire to love, no matter the cost. It appealed to every feminine part of me and was a perfect travel companion.
I finished the book on the way back to Vancouver and was sad to read the last page. I was of course eager to see the movie. This is how I was introduced to Robert Pattinson - of course I had seen him in tabloids and knew he was this huge heart throb…well now I know why. He captured Edward beautifully. His gaze, his intensity. I laughed at how easily I had become a fan and how out of the ordinary that was for me.
So I started posting humourous comments on my Twitter - you know how Edward and I are vampire soulmates. I joked around with my friends about it.

This is where it gets interesting…

A few days ago, after I finished the book and was playfully posting about it, I had a video interview posted on the Toronto Star website about my Canadian Tour Kick off Show. As I finished watching my interview, I noticed my interview had been somehow linked to another interview…it was of Robert Pattinson. I smiled at the coincidence.
The next day I had an article published in a widely circulated paper here in Vancouver called 24 Hrs. They were promoting my upcoming Junofest show (The Junos are the Canadian Grammy Awards). I flipped open the page to my interview and who is on the page beside me? Robert Pattinson. I laughed out loud this time.

Then the best part…
Last night I was at a Juno Afterparty at Richards on Richards (a fantastic live music venue in Vancouver). I’m hanging out upstairs and I look over…it’s Robert Pattinson. I couldn’t believe it! I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out how to say hi and what I could say that wouldn’t sound crazy.
I walked over and he was saying to another girl, “I can’t do that. I can’t do that”, so I pulled up beside him and said, “What can’t you do Robert” and he said, “I can’t take pictures tonight”. So I leaned over and said, “I don’t need a picture of you. You’re just a normal person trying to have a good time. I’m just happy to have this moment with you. Sometimes people want a piece of you, more specifically, a piece of Edward. I’m happy to be meeting you. At the end of the day, you’re just like me.”
At that point, he pulled me into an warm embrace and said in my ear, “You are the first person to say that to me all day, thank you. Honestly, thank you”. I said, “You’re welcome. We’re the same”.
I told him about how I was a performer, so you never know, maybe he’ll be at a show someday!
In the end it was lovely to meet the man who so well depicted the character so many people love. I can tell you two things:
1) Even though Robert is not Edward, he has the same intense stare in real life. It took me off guard.
2) He smells lovely. The stinky thing is a bunch of tabloid garbage.

Somehow, my meeting with him got posted on Robert Pattinson websites because I have had over a thousand plays of my music today and it’s only noon!
I have received countless messages and twitter adds. Thank you!
If my meeting with Robert introduces you to my music, then this is even more cosmic than I ever thought possible!

At the end of the day, this story is about my music and about how it seems that all of this was meant to happen. How I was meant to pick up that book, how I was meant to have all that press published, how I was meant to be at that club last night, and how I was meant to meet you.

I hope you enjoy my music and that it communicates with you. This is my passion and is what I breathe each day for. The thought that over 4000 people have heard my music today makes my heart beat fast…almost as fast as my heart beated while flipping those pages.
