After beating out reporter-videographer teams from across the nation in mtvU.com’s first Oscar Correspondent Contest for college journalists, Baker College senior Faheem Ahmed and Sid Richardson College junior Anish Patel flew to Los Angeles to interview on the red carpet at the Academy Awards.
When the duo chatted with Robert Pattinson, they asked him a couple of interesting questions…
“Because we’d both seen The Wrestler, I asked [Pattinson], ‘Who would you be afraid to fight in the ring?’” Ahmed recounted. “He said Reese Witherspoon, because he’d be afraid to smack her around too much. Then, since he played a vampire in Twilight, I asked him what other supernatural creature he’d like to play. ‘Satan,’ he said.”
I can actually see him playing Satan!!

In the March issue of Costo Connection, there’s a brief interview with Robert Pattinson along side their sale of the Twilight DVD.
Tell me about the differences between being a young, handsome actor and being a young, handsome vampire.
I guess it all depends on how much you like going around killing people [Laughs] I’m not sure that being good-looking has anything to do with it, except vampires have always been attractive, haven’t they?
Hardwicke, incidently, says you have these “long beautiful vampire fingers.”
RP: I think what she meant is: I have very weird hands. There’s a scene in the film where my character plays the piano, and I actually had to learn it myself because they couldn;t find a hand double that was convincing enough to match my weird fingers.
Are you a lucky guy?
RP: I think I am. I remember when I was younger I used to write in my diary: I want my luck to be spread. Never give me anything too lucky all at once. I’ll take a little luck now and then, but spread it for 70 years. Now that all of this is happening, I’m sure the rest of my life will be ruined. [Laughs]

Robert Pattinson reportedly told MoviesOnline that he might be making an album soon!!
“I might make an album but not through a record company or anything. I’d like to do something independent.”
“I don’t care if people buy it or not. I’d just like to have it just for myself so I can work with good musicians and stuff.”
He even says he may write some of the songs…
“All my friends are musicians in London. They’re very talented. My best friend wrote one of the songs on the soundtrack with another friend of mine, this guy Marcus Foster who did Bobby Long..
“I went to school with Marcus. He taught me how to play guitar and stuff. He’s an amazing writer and singer and I thought to help somebody out. I’ve got nothing to lose.”
