Rumors are circulating that Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron, and Justin Timberlake are each being courted for major roles in Ohio, an upcoming film based on the 1970 murders of anti-Vietnam War protesters at Kent State University.

Star Magazine claims Justin and Zac Efron feel that they are bigger names than big screen newcomer Robert. Both Zac and J.T. are unnerved that Rob’s been offered first stab at Ohio’s lead role, according to a squealing tabloid spy.

“Everyone in the industry is shocked that Rob is already getting such big roles,” says an insider.

“Zac and Justin have been working for a lot longer than he has. There is a bit of jealousy there.”

“Zac’s people want him to have the lead. And Justin’s people have asked that he get a lot of screen time.”

“I try to ignore what people say about me. You tell yourself that everything you do is crap,” he laughs.

Rob does say that he is serious about acting. “Acting is something I’m very serious about, and that’s why I chose it,” he says. “I’m still embarrassed to say I’m an actor because it’s kinda cheesy, so I prefer to say I do something else.”

“I don’t like the word ‘acting,’” says Robert. “I prefer the word ‘creating,’ because I want to build a character with an idea that turns into something that people will remember. In every job that I’ve done, I’ve put something of my life into it, I try to add my life into the movie. Every period of my life in which I’ve played a different character, I’ve been a different person.”

Interestingly, he admits that fan adoration can be intimidating. “The more people who tell you [how great you are], the bigger the need for you to prove it,” he says. “It’s like everyone is saying how great you are even if you haven’t done anything.”

Adds Rob: “Besides, there’s always a bigger number of people who want to screw you over.”

Robert Pattinson once modeled some swimwear in his previous life as a model.

“He was painfully shy and incredibly polite,” photographer John-Paul Pietrus, who shot Rob in 2003 for a spread that’s appeared in the South China Morning Post magazine.

“He was a bit nervous too because I had him in some pictures with a girl. The shoot was based on swimwear from the 1930s. He had his shirt off, so some skin might have made him nervous.”

Back in 2005, Robert Pattinson said that the girls would much rather have Daniel Radcliffe (his then costar in Harry Potter).

“[Daniel Radcliffe is] just so far superior to me in terms of desirability,” Rob said in 2005. “If I was Katie [Leung, who played Harry Potter's love interest Cho Chang in Goblet of Fire], I would definitely go out with [Daniel] because he’s rich and famous, and I’m not really…I think Dan could steal anyone from me. If I were a girl, I’d pick Dan.”

Recently, Daniel responded to the statement, saying “I can safely say that his insisting that girls would choose me over him that they would not. That they do not. He is much prettier and can be much more charming…And he can do that thing of being sultry and sexy…Rob can just sort of stand there and look at something and start to smolder. And I just can’t do that.”
