Robert Pattinson ... Who?

The LA Times had an article titled “Vampires: Shmexy or not?”.  In it was a new picture of the baseball scene in Twilight featuring Robert Pattinson.  Love this look!!

OK … if you’re a die-hard fan, you DID already know this about Robert Pattinson. But if you don’t … here you go!

1. Robert’s acting inspiration is Jack Nicholson.

2. Robert started playing the piano when he was three-years-old and still dreams of becoming a professional pianist. He has also mastered the guitar.
3. Robert’s sisters (Lizzy and Victoria) used to dress him up as a girl and call him “Claudia.”
4. Robert’s favorite curse word is tike, an offensive British term which refers to a “crude, ill-bred person who lacks culture or refinement.”
5. Robert loves American Idol.
6. Robert hates when women wear UGGs!
7. Robert had his first kiss when he was 12-years-old.
8. Robert’s fave sports are soccer (football), skiing, and snowboarding.
9. Robert is a Taurus (born May 13, 1986).
10. Robert had to learn to scuba dive for his role as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter.

An older interview, but I like Robert’s explanation of Edward.  “It’s just a guy who’s incredibly frustrated … He’s not that great a guy at all. It’s just how she sees him.” He says he wants Edward to flip out and kill a whole crowd!!

Robert Pattinson won Best Actor at the Strasbourg International Film Festival! Congratulations Rob

Robert won the award for his performance in How To Be and he was up against Michael Madsen for Strength and Honour (representing Ireland) and Ali Atay for Happy New Year London (representing both Turkey and the UK).

The Strasbourg International Film festival is known in promoting and celebrating the works of new and emerging filmmakers from all over the world.

Robert Pattinson recently told MTV that that he loves Harry Potter. “Does it make me a traitor? ‘Harry Potter’ was what made me become an actor. I credit ‘Harry Potter’ with everything else that’s come since for me. I didn’t know what I was doing before that. I hadn’t read the books before doing the movie, so at first I read it just as an acting exercise. But I really enjoyed it! But I think Edward would kick Cedric’s ass, to be honest.”
