There are a couple New Moon movie stills that appear in the New Moon Illustrated Companion book that do NOT appear in the movie. One is a possible scene of Edward, Alice and Charlie maybe after they come back from Italy.

New Robert Pattinson Interview with TodaTeen- Scans and Translation!

todateen.jpg

toda-teen2.jpg todateen3.jpg tpdateen3.jpg

We are stubborn and possessive

It was in a hotel in Paris, during New Moon promotion, that Rob gave us this interview. Shy and always ready to crack a joke (but still being professional), the star doesn’t give the impression that let fame go to his head. But something changed: the actor that plays the vampire that makes every girl fell in love with in two seconds needs an agent controlling everything he says in interviews. But he still talked to TodaTeen about rumors, filming, future projects and more.

It’s insane outside the hotel…
Really? For some reason France always seems to respond to the movie earlier. I was surprised when I came here. But it’s always nice, it’s crazy. I remember the first time I stayed in this hotel, everyone that worked here would say “that never happened before” about the crowd standing outside. It’s definitely an honor.

You also filmed some scenes in Italy. Was it crazy like that there?
It was nice, “warmer” that Vancouver. It was like shooting a different movie. There were about 2000 extras and most of them were fans. They weren’t even being payed, just wanted to be part of the movie. There was a lot of expectation, especially when important scenes were filmed. Those days were fun.

How was it for you to work with Chris Weitz after working with Catherine?
Chris is a very nice guy. I like him a lot, since the day we met. He came on the set saying “I really liked the first movie, I like the cast. You guys understand the characters more than I do. And that’s how I want to work”. It was nice of him to say that. He was making a sequel so he didn’t want it to be any different from the first movie. Chris has this energy which is totally different from Catherine’s. She is wilder and she has this very unique way to see things. Like, the idea of falling in love with someone… it happens that way, just like that. And Chris is more rational. He understands love in different levels. Like, with love comes fear and doubt. And sometimes you can’t control your fear. And this thought was perfect for the movie he was directing.

It’s something more mature, right?
Exactly! I think everything is more complex. I think that first love is something totally inexplicable, so that’s why it was good when Catharine noticed that. You don’t have to analyze, it just happens.

You’re not as much in this movie as you were in the first one. Did it make your schedule a little less busy?
(laughs) It’s true. I wanted to change a lot of things in my acting. It was nice not to have that much pressure on me because I could change things I wanted to change when I was acting.

Like what?
Like the character’s appearance and a lot of little things regarding my acting. No one is pressuring me telling me to do this or that, and they tell me things like “you don’t have to do everything like you did in the first movie. It just have to be successful and not change much”. That’s why I had more fun filming New Moon.

Chris Weitz talks stunts and Robert Pattinson in New Moon.

water-scene.jpg

Chris Weitz talked to Rolling Stone and mentioned Rob and stunts in New Moon

I also read that you had instructed Kristen to do that scene one way and then got a wet suit on and got into the water yourself and realized it was an impossible way to tackle it.

Rob had done this underwater work in one of the Harry Potter movies, so he was relatively comfortable doing things at the bottom of a pool. In order to get this shot right, we needed to get a top shot of Kristen as Bella sinking down in the ocean. The best way to do that is to have Kristen at the bottom of a 12-foot pool weighted down, just sort of floating there immobile. And Kristen was already expressing a bit of concern about deep water, and I told her, “12 feet isn’t that deep!” [Laughs] I decided to go down there in a wet suit weighted down and I started to panic.

I thought, “Holy crap, this isn’t fun at all!” and realized Rob actually had some guts and that the rest of us should really stay up towards the top of the pool. We adjusted it so we could make our shot sideways and it looks just the same as a top shot. And Kristen had a cold that day, so that was the last thing I was going to do — put someone with a cold at the bottom of a 12-foot pool with weights in their pockets. That didn’t seem like a wise move.

Robert Pattinson’s Interview- One Magazine (Translated).

one-mag-rob.jpg

rob-one-mad-2.jpg rpb-mag-3.jpg

Unbelievable, but true! Robert Pattinson still believes that his success is nothing but luck. He’s uncomfortable with his success and he still doesn’t feel entirely confident as an actor. Robert, who’s always modest, still believes that he has to proof something. Even though his fans are enthused, Robert isn’t one of those who like to congratulate themselves…

What is Edward mood to the beginning of New Moon? In this sequel Edward and Bella have to face the bitter truth. They have to discover how strong their love really is. When Edward leaves Bella he thinks he saves her life, but he basically destroys her meaning of life. This movie is more tragic than the first one. Edward changes throughout the film – to the beginning he truly believes that the only way to save Bella’s life is to leave her. Only the incidents which exceed by far his imagination make him realize that it is a necessity for Bella and him to be together.

Before twilight you played mainly roles in small independent movies? Why?
After Harry Potter I could have played in many teen-movies, but I didn’t have any interest in that. I prefered serious projects, like Little Ashes; I play the painter Salvador Dali in this movie. I really love this movie, even though it was quite difficult. I had to shoot a love-scene with a guy, although I barely ever kissed a woman in front of the camera. (laughs)

How do you imagine your further career when you finish “The Twilight Saga”?
My aim is to play as many different parts as possible because I don’t want to end up with vampire roles only. To play comedies isn’t really in my nature, that would be a big challenge for me. That’s why I look for roles which enhance my personal development and help me to go further my own limits. Unfortunately, people rarely offer me interesting stuff. There aren’t really many good scripts… I don’t want to be an actor just for the sake of it, because I have never really enjoyed being in the spotlight.

Translation

Interview by Tasos Theodorakopoulos for Big Fish

How do you cope with the pressure of the hysteria that your appearance causes to young girls after the success Twilight?
The way everyone gets through when being under pressure: I focus on my friends. Look, I shouldn’t be ungrateful, besides the stress it’s fun to get all this recognition. It’s just that some things change in your life. I can’t walk down the street alone, as i used to do and there are moments that in this recognition i feel extremely vulnerable.I try to keep my mind,to distinguish the jobs offered that will help me succeed and stay calm with madness and speed that all this is happening.

They’ve been so many vampire movies…i believe after your trilogy the amount will increase.Do you feel there’s something special you’ve added through your performance to the cinema persona of the “immortals”?
The idea was to bring back for the cinema and the new generation the vampire legend. So, I tried something, that was to play the vampire without following a specific road on how such a role should be played, but focusing on the after adolescent loneliness of a special character.

Well, in the book Edward’s presence is relatively smaller that in the movie…
In the book Bella hears Edward’s voice in her mind. In the movie we gave this voice the figure of a vision. And we added a battle scene at the end, which i really enjoyed ’cause i look amazing as a fighter(laughs..).

RPattz talks to Cine Premiere- New Interview!

cinepremiereespecial_1.jpg

Robert Pattinson - The most desired vampire in the world.

Has the character changed for you? And how so?
I’m very surprised at how relaxed I am with everything. I was very nervous before, especially with all the expectations. But since Twilight did well, I think I’m less nervous now.

What can you tell us about Edward in this sequel?
He feels like he’s lost everything since James, Victoria and Laurent appeared in his life. For him, everything spiraled out of control for him, and he’s struggling to stay afloat by pretending that everything is fine. So that’s why everything happens faster this time; he’s been considering it for a while.

And he thinks he’s doomed anyway, right?
Yes, actually from the first movie he feels that way. And in this movie he thinks he’s doing the right thing, even if later he realizes he made a mistake.

Edward is a little mean in this movie, isn’t he?
I don’t think he’s mean in this one. I think he’s mean in the next movie (laughs). He’s just lost and he takes the typical male attitude of finding a person he loves and throwing away everything because of his self-doubts. And then he realizes, after he messed up, that you only have few chances. And that’s the good thing about Bella.

She keeps giving him those chances.
Yes, but for her is not even about giving him another chance. She just knows more about the relationship than him, and he just blames himself for everything.

Have you ever been that way?
I’m always that way! In every relationship I’ve been this way, it’s ridiculous.

Do you dump them?
No, they actually dump me (laughs).

Building a Saga

Your return in the movie is very important. Are you nervous about that?
Definitely. What I was worried about was that the absence was not really going to be an absence. I didn’t want to be there at all, like in the book. I just wanted there to be a voice. I think that could’ve given more strength and power to my return. But they decided to have visions, not just my voice. She sees me. Amd that’s hard because you need the least ammount of acting, without being dead. You’re someone else’s creation on their mind. Amd I didn’t want to saturate the movie with my presence.

Was it hard changing directors?
A little bit, yes. Catherine has a very specific style, and a very defined and unique atmosphere; and in this one, the mood is extremely different. But Chris is great, and this movie will be very different. Catherine has a point of view about the world, that is completely stripped away from any cynicism. And Chris can be more cynical, and see verything from a darker point of view. This is a much darker movie.

How well do you get along with Taylor? Do you feel threatned by his presence or his muscles?
Yes, I do feel a little bit threatned (laughs). His hand shake is very strong, so yes, he’s an intimidating person.
