Talk about getting pulses racing! Robert Pattinson’s tousle-haired vampire Edward Cullen was the embodiment of angst-ridden teenage fantasies in last year’s Twilight — and audiences salivating to see his brooding character in the flesh again has made New Moon one of the most anticipated big-screen events of 2009.
Rob chats about his part in the Twilight soundtrack. I can’t help but hope to see him in the upcoming soundtracks!

Robert Pattinson is said to have signed a 500-million-dollar Twilight television deal.
Summit Entertainment, the studio that makes the monster-hit film franchise, is branching out into TV production, and bosses want Pattinson to reprise his big-screen role as Edward Cullen.
The 23-year-old actor could land as much as 1.5million-dollar an episode as part of the deal, which could kick in as early as next year, reports the Daily Star.
Pattinson’s co-star Kristen Stewart, who plays his on-screen human love Bella Swan, is also wanted by the bosses.
Both the stars, rumoured to be real-life couple, would be free to work on the TV version almost immediately as they have already finished working on third film in the series, ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

He’s bigger than Ben-Hur at the moment, if you believe all the hype. Yet to come face-to-face with Robert Pattinson is to meet a serious artist, a multi-talented individual who could as easily have been a classical or funky musician as a movie star.
The Twilight juggernaut is propelling the 23-year-old British actor to the heights of mega stardom and, having previously only played minor roles, most notably as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he is making the most of it.
The small independent movie, Remember Me, was able to go ahead as the result of his casting and Pattinson is now in Unbound Captives, a western set in 1859, where the world’s sexiest youngster gets to act alongside the “Sexiest Man Alive”, Hugh Jackman. (Kate:Less of the youngster please, Rob is all man!)
“The Twilight fans are so devoted, even fanatical, that I’m now able to do so many films,” Pattinson says. “The economy is just so bad at the moment. I don’t care if they think I’m right for the part or not. I can get their movie made, which is great.”

Throughout the weekend, Twilighters from all over are gathering in Parsippany, New Jersey, where the first of what is sure to be many Summit/Creation Entertainment co-sponsored fan conventions is happening. Among the gathered celeb attendees is “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke, who shared some behind-the-scenes facts yesterday during a Q&A.
Fans probably weren’t surprised that the director had to get creative in stretching “Twilight”’s budget to do what she wanted. The big shock of the day was the original vision of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, which included a head of long, flowing locks.
“I thought it would be cool if Rob had long, romantic hair,” Hardwicke told the gathered attendees. “So we put extensions on Rob and he just hated it. He sat there in the chair for eight hours and was like, ‘No.’”
Director Catherine Harwicke recently revealed at Twi Tour in Phoenix who her OTHER choices were for Edward Cullen! She also stated that she referred to them as Bachelor’s 1, 2, 3, and 4 (that is including Robert Pattinson!).
