Breaking Dawn casting – Some clues

The much anticipated casting and auditions process for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” is now getting underway in Los Angeles, on the heels of the world premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, which will take place in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 24th.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be released as two separate movies, Breaking Dawn Part I has a release date of November 18, 2011, and a summer 2012 release for Breaking Dawn Part II is being targeted. Director Bill Condon will shoot the two films back to back.

Breaking Dawn II will be released in 3-D, however no decision has been announced about Part I. A 3-D film can be created in two ways. One is to process the film in post-production editing using CGI for 3-D effects. The other method is to shoot the film with special 3-D cameras, such as the film Avatar was done using Sony HDC-F950 3-D cameras. It is not known which method Condon will use, but it is highly likely he will shoot using the special 3-D cameras since the effects are far superior.

Filming begins November 2010, and it now appears likely that shooting will take place in the state of Louisiana. There is a very large amount of filming that takes place in Louisiana due to the large tax credits that the state offers the studios. Louisiana offers a 30% transferable incentive for total in-state expenditures related to the production of a motion picture. The budget on both parts of Breaking Dawn will be substantially greater than the previous installments in the series, therefore Summit Entertainment would benefit greatly by filming in Louisiana, and low key negotiations with the state film commission are taking place.

Robert Pattinson looked gorgeous and scruffy as he arrived at Heathrow Airport this afternoon in his cap, sunnies and jeans. He had his guitar case for company, but will no doubt be reunited with Kristen Stewart and the rest of the Twilight gang as the cast gather in Vancouver for Eclipse reshoots. We’ve already seen Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner make their way from LAX to Canada so it was only a matter of time until beautiful and rich Robert joined them.

Robert Pattinson Doesn’t Care if Breaking Dawn is 2 Films

As part of the Remember Me press junket yesterday, Robert Pattinson weighed in on the concept of Breaking Dawn being broken into two films, saying “it really just depends on the script, either way.

He also revealed that he’s not sure of the 3-D concept. “The 3-D thing confuses me. I haven’t seen ‘Avatar’ or any of these 3-D movie things yet. The idea of it … I remember 3-D movies from when I was a kid, and I can just picture it giving me a headache.

(More Robert Pattinson Goodness!)

Rob Talks Disturbing Sex Scenes in “Bel Ami”

details2.jpgFrom MTV – Rob talks Bel Ami, Breaking Dawn, and Spiderman!

Following the November blockbuster release of “New Moon,” Robert Pattinson has maintained a relatively low profile as he geared up to begin filming “Bel Ami” alongside Uma Thurman in Europe. That cloud of welcome anonymity is about to break, though, as the PR machine ramps up for another RPattz film release: the romantic drama “Remember Me.”

In an interview with the Scottish Daily Record, Pattinson spoke of his paranoia about relationships, the eventual end of the “Twilight” series and some very intimate on-camera time he’ll soon share with Thurman.

“The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing,” he said. “Her character kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal. There’s a lot of sex scenes in this film, so I’m asking quite a lot of myself, and with lots of different people as well.”

In “Bel Ami,” Pattinson plays a Parisian journalist and playboy who courts his friend’s wife (Thurman) and eventually marries her. Filming is set to take place across Europe, from London to Budapest.

During the interview, Pattinson also spoke about the frustration of planning his life around the “Twilight,” as there’s still no set date for production on “Breaking Dawn,” nor any definitive word about whether the final book in the vampire series will become two films or just one.

“Not knowing when ‘Breaking Dawn’ is going to shoot — because it changes all the time — is a kind of burden, to have this thing where you don’t know when it’s going to happen,” Pattinson said. “So you’ve got to organize everything in your life around that and that can be difficult.”

Problematic as well is his increasing lack of privacy in his personal life, particularly given the persistent rumors that he’s in a relationship with “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart.

“If you meet a crowd of people, a lot of times you think someone is going to say something, someone could be going to sell a story about you,” he admitted. “The majority of times, nothing bad ever happens, but having that paranoia there is very annoying.”

One story — or rather, one outlandish casting rumor — should now be put to rest. Any wish on the part of some fans that the rebooted “Spider-Man” franchise will star Pattinson as Peter Parker is just that: a wish, with no basis in reality.

“I don’t think I’m going to be playing Spider-Man, even though I would quite like to do it,” he said.
